I've now turned off. I really liked the bbc2 version but I just can't take this. I've tried and tried but it just seems stale, boring and 'not quite right'. I honestly think they've taken this as far as they can (and then some) and it should now be put out to graze

That's immensely unlikely. Yes, it's crap, we know it's crap, they know it's crap, C4 know it's crap, but it's like crack cocaine for the soul. And since the show has extended to 12.30, it's clearly getting the audience, but then C4 knew it would as it was a mainstay on BBC2 for 6 years. They were absolute tards for dumping it, but I'm glad its moved to C4 as it means its longer.

This is annoying. They have guests on today that have the capable to be quite interesting and make a fun show (Jason Manford, Joss Stone and Nick Hewer) but there's Perez Hilton disrupting it all.

By the way, today sees the first time a Sunday Brunch show will be repeated after its original transmission - on the new 4seven channel at 3pm.

I thought the same.

I wish they'd stop promoting ch4 chav shows.

Joss Stone appears to have picked up a new generic British accent.

Joss seems really nice. I don't know why she gets such bad press.

Noticed that the other day. Has she grown up or had an image makeover?

She spoke with a false quasi American accent and talked the language of the street...which made her look an idiot.

I had the feeling she was full of herself.

Nick Hewer looked so bored at the start of the show when Joss and Perez we're talking, he kept looking at his watch

Really cheap TV filler now = 2h40 of inane rubbish with one of the blandest presenters ever to appear on TV!!

I would hope that agents see their people as better than this, and avoid it like the plague for the promotion of anything!!

Like a lot of the guests, including Jason Manford, I find them more interesting on something like this, with occasional asides, than I ever would if I was to experience them doing their day job.

This link might only work for Facebook users...

So just in case, here's the image:
https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.n...60142485_n.jpg

The caption reads: "Team night out for the Sunday Brunch crew. Tim and Simon promised they were popping by… no sign of them yet."

And the first comment is: "Tim's there! He's the Muppet!"

I would have said that on the BBC2 version, that Tim Lovejoy was the anchorman, with Simon Rimmer (what an unfortunate name) as the one doing a bit of chat and the cooking segment.

In the C4 version, it looks like they are being promoted as equals. I wonder if Rimmer had a bit of a sulk before agreeing to the channel move??

I agree with those that say it's not as good on C4, also two and a half hours (even accounting for the adverts) is far too long.

Why on earth would you only consider yourself to be equal to Tim Lovejoy, the worst television presenter in history? Surely the moment at which you consider yourself to be anything less than 100 times better than him, you would think about how you were going to end your life?

She had a black American boyfriend, maybe she hasn't anymore.

Thanks for the kind and insightful response. No, you are wrong. I don't hate Tim Lovely. However, he is an appallingly lazy and inept broadcaster. He has shown this over many years which is what makes it astounding that he still gets paid to present television shows. He also has a horrible personality, corroborated by all who meet him. Overall, it would be much better for everyone if he did not appear on the television.

Neither of them had a say about the channel move. BBC2 were getting rid. C4 were offering. End of. Same job is better than no job.

I've given up on this programme, I don't know why I can't take to it like the BBC2 version, I'm bored stiff watching it.

For me, I miss the deja view bit. It gave a reason to keep it on til the end even if the guests werent that interesting. Cant stand the music clips going in to the break especially when the guest who is supposed to have chosen the track refuses to play along with the fakery. The show just needs something to give it a kick up the backside and Dim's complacency doesnt help.

I like it when they don't play along
