why dont i ever feel like going out drinking with my mates anymore. I just feel drinking in bars so tedious , id rather be doing something (with my friends if preferably) like comedy club/gigs/dinner, whatever anything except sitting across a table and talking about mundane life details....Most of the things i go to see i go alone as my friends have never heard of the singers i like so i just dont bother asking any of them these days...whats wrong with me lol

some friends i text and ask to do something dont reply, most times they do reply back, so when they text me asking to do something like go for a drink i just snub their texts back.

doesn't sound like you're becoming insular - just sounds more like you're outgrowing the pub scene and want something more fulfilling, and that's really nothing to feel bad about.

obviously you don't want to ditch your friends, so maybe try and find a middle ground ?. Make a regular point of going out drinking with them no more than once a week, or even fortnight, just to keep in touch and then try and arrange to do the things you're interesed in. maybe look for clubs or something similar so you can meet likeminded people ?

Try meetup.com. My friend has been to comedy club, out to eat, a haunted walk or haunted lock in at the library?? Theres different groups so she sometimes has meet ups with other mums with kids too.

Never heard of that meetup.com site. Thought I'd give it a try - put in my postcode and it found absolutely nothing within 25 miles of me!

Aww thats a shame it makes out like there is lots to do everywhere. I havnt signed up myself.
