From CDAN: He Can Never Go Out Because Of His Boyfriend:

So, this actor was A list. He might still be. It depends on how you judge. Has he headlined a movie? Yep. And it was not a horror movie. It was an actually real honest to goodness premiered in a movie theater movie. other than that though he has just been a co-star or second banana. Hugely popular though. Everyone around the world knows his face.

The thing is, he does not go out much. He hates going out. When he goes out he has to leave his boyfriend behind. His manager and agent have made it clear. Do NOT go out in public with your boyfriend. No guys playing basketball. Nothing. The only time you are allowed to go out is if you are with your parents or a girl. The problem is most of the women he knows have a boyfriends so then he is a third wheel. He loves going to premieres because then he gets to feel normal. It is also the one time his boyfriend is allowed to be in the same place at the same time.

Our actor has tried the bearding but it just doesn't work. He doesn't know how to go about it and because he is so young, most of the women aren't interested. So, our actor stays as home and orders in. He works out at home and does everything at home with his boyfriend. He would love nothing more then to come out, but he is hanging on by a thread with his career at this point despite his status and will do whatever his agent and manager tell him to do.

^^^^^ Poor Shark Boy

Just come out! We'll still like you!

Who actually believe he likes women besides a 13 year old Twihard? Here lies the problem i think.

It's possible she's IN LA to discuss that, or other roles, has been seen with Duchovney and all hell has broken loose.

I like that they are clearly still friends though.

They should be done for infringement of human rights. How can you demand a tax-paying national/citizen does not go out with someone (scrap that - their actual partner) to the point where he has to become a virtual recluse?

Why is the industry STILL this bad?

I totally agree with you, but I suppose it is their choice in the end, but it really shouldn't be like that.

There are parts of the world which are really that bad if not worse. It sucks and probably the best way to deal is telling the agents to go jump, deal with misconceptions head on and show that they are wrong. But look at the stuff spewing from the American Psycho director - being gay means you can only play gay roles??

Yes most blinds are full of it but really? Agents & Managers have been telling people to stay in the closet since Hollywood began.

From Blind Gossip:

This is a story that you have heard before, but it’s about an actor that you didn’t know was in trouble. He has a successful career, but he has fallen prey to the partying lifestyle.

It’s now interfering with his work. He shows up late or not at all. He is unprepared at work. He is constantly drunk or hungover. He comes to work unwashed, wearing the same clothes from the night before, reeking of booze and smoke.

When a young star is falling apart, their team faces a difficult decision. Do they confront him and try to get them help? Or do they pretend that nothing is wrong so the star doesn’t get mad at them?

Opinions were split among this star’s team. His agents – who were afraid of losing him as a client – chose to do nothing. His publicists – a reputable firm who have worked with him for many years – did the brave thing. They set up an intervention, consisting of the people who love and care about the actor, to try to get him to seek help.

The young actor got wind of the intervention… and promptly fired the publicists. The agent kept his job.

In case you were wondering why no one intervenes when a star is in trouble, this is why. The ones who genuinely care inevitability pay the price.

Oh, my belief is constant in blinds that 90% are untrue, and if it's cdan, 99.5. A-list star frightened to go out, it's just pandering to that, probably rightful, conception. No real clues about who it could be, just vague nothingness. I just wouldn't get angry about it, personally

But why would that need to be a blind item - he's been open about his troubles? Same with Winning it's all out there.

To be honest, I wonder if this is perhaps going down a different path and her recent comments make me think it's less about Duchovney and more about her spreading her own wings as it were.
I think this is true.....there have been rumours for years about their "closeness".....

Didn't know it was that long ago!

I'm stumped then.

It's King Herod, at least according to someone who is close to Herod's brother. He actually went on holiday with his best friends ex-wife in August last year so its a open secret. Photos were online for a short time before they were blocked. See her twitter account for 'banter' with Herod's sister in law. . Agree, a bit odd that the show held together for a year. But £££ was involved.
