Pitbull/Flo Rida & all the other generic rap/r&b artists around now - I admit I do like some of their songs as upbeat 'throwaway' dance tunes, but their personas and song lyrics aren't really anything to be admired.
Lady Gaga - Liked her when she first came onto the scene, but the whole 'mother monster' thing has got very tiring as have her fans (who scream at anyone who dare suggest that Gaga is anything but original). Hope she tones her image down for her next album. Jessie J - I like her songs, but like other artists such as Leona Lewis and Mariah Carey, I can't stand it when they do all those vocal tricks when they sing live - like this clip of Jessie at Hackney Weekend . It makes them look so egotistical and really puts me off them as an artist. Morissey - Think he is one of the most overrated British singer songwriters ever! In my opinion he can't sing for toffee and his song lyrics aren't that great either! Don't know why people rate him so highly. His ramblings on stage about how he hates the Olympics and goes on about animal rights doesn't help me like him either!

I agree that Pitbull is very annoying and Flo Rida is starting to get that way, popping up on other artists' tracks unnecessarily.

First and foremost it's Lady GaGa.
I've intensely disliked her from the start, and then she began to get progressively worse. She's ugly, desperate and unoriginal, I dread the release of her new album. Hope it flops and she never comes back. Nicki Minaj - Repulsive... what more needs to be said? The same goes for all of her thoroughly untalented label mates, such as Lil Wayne. Alexandra Burke - I could vomit whenever I hear her speak or sing. An awfully irritating personality with crap songs... elephant was just horrendous!! Flop ![]() Jessie J - Constantly overplayed to the point where every release that I may have liked at first now seriously grates on me. Plus in all of her live performances she over sings every word of every line and ends up sounding like a goat. |

I don't understand how people can say Lady Gaga's songs are always generic and sound the same. I understand if people dislike her but you cannot deny that her music is definitely 'different'. One listen to her Born This Way album and you can see that her music is quite different than most.
I am a huge fan of Gaga (I don't want to be branded with the psycho brush) but I think a lot of the time people find it just as "trendy" to bash her as it is "trendy" to be a psycho fan of hers. Oh and to stay on topic I really dislike Jessie J. I do like some of her music but something about her personality just bugs me.

But especially in 2009, it was very upsetting to me that she basically released the same song 4 times. Only Love Game stood out as "interesting" to me. The rest just seemed like a combination of 80's pop music combined with the Timbaland/Danja sound that was dominating US pop music at the time. To me her songs just sounded the same as what Flo Rida and the Black Eyed Peas were releasing at the same time, just without rapping. |
