When you see how the Brazillians have given athletics a smaller stadium than football, after watching their dreadful 8 min segment last night.

Also the people are very poor and I can't see them bothering with the lesser sports thus the atmosphere will be poor.

They are also spreading a lot of events all over the city into 4 zones which won't be accessible as London.

I agree that Engenho de Dentro (nobody calls it Havelange even though it's the official name) is a little on the small side, however it's unfair to say that there is zero English spoken here, that the people are 'very poor' (we have the second highest GDP in Brazil as well as the most expensive real estate) or that spreading the events over 4 locations (given we're a small city) renders the games inaccessible.
