Why is this called "Reality"

Reality TV is the biggest miss-named genre there is. Why? Simple, because its all contrived and features self seeking talentless morons or has beens.

We have just witness the greatest spectacle on earth! The London 2012 Olympics, where real talent shines through, either by natural talent and by dedication and sheer hard work. I mean real hard work and sacrifice, not the get rich quick chav mentality that populates so called reality TV shows.

The Olympics were genuine reality TV, that was real, that was sacrifice for a dream. Those that think winning X-factor or Big Brother is ultimate just goes to show what is wrong with the world. Get a perspective, a single Olympic athlete is worth a 100000 big brother or x-factor contestants.

Have you ever endured Shipwrecked? What could have been a promising series about how teenagers coped on a desert island turned into the usual bunch of whinging inadequates shouting at each other and moaning all the time. I am so glad Channel 4 cancelled this.
