Just thought I'd start a thread for Grimm season 2, less then 2 months until season 2 premiers

It will run on Mondays for 1 month (gain new viewers I suppose) and then move back to Fridays on September 14th

It shouldn't. That show in the US will coincide with the NBC Olympics broadcast so, Grimm should pick up viewers.

A decent start to the season, though it looks like they're going to reverse juliette finding out about nick being a grimm by using amnesia, which is a bit dissapointing.

I groaned when they mentioned amnesia. If they go down that route I will be disappointed as well. It is overused and very cheap.

I enjoyed the rest of the episode though. I wonder if Kelly will be able to see Renard for what he really is?

Was wondering when they blanked out hits face if she is going to forget him totally, not just the Grimm part.

Thought at one stage maid Marion was just going to buggar off with the coins rather than hang around and help

I did too. But, I really like how the show's filling in some background and the story's are going to develop from there. If it's okay, I'll put these in spoilers for episode 1 from Nick's mom because there some really good story arcs forming from episode 1.

If I got it right: The key which doesn't turn any of the locks in the trailer is part of a map which is one of seven parts each held by one of the seven knights each of whom served one of the seven royal families. The Grimms worked for the Royals by controlling the Wesen. The maps leads to some powerful thing that will give the Royal family control again. So, that's one story arc from S01 that'll be interesting.

The other story arc from S01: Juliette was poisoned by Adalind. The poison's made Juliette forget Nick. But, an antidote is in the works to prevent Juliette from losing anymore of her memory. Even if she awakens with Juliette out of the way, Fire Dancer or maybe even Adalind might make a play for Nick?

Another story arc from S01: the coins of Zakynthos. It looks like Nick'll have to return them to the island whence they were forged for their destruction.

A third story arc from S01: Hank after seeing Monroe as a Blutbaad is having trouble sleeping and difficulty accepting what he saw.

Now for this season, I'd like to know why...

Monroe thought that Kimura scent was just like Nick's mom! Kimura might have Grimm powers, and I'd like to know how he fits in with the Grimms.

And finally, Monroe and Rosalee are going to have problems with Nick's mom... I hope she stays around for more than the first two episodes.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I'm spoilering this stuff either but I doubt this aired in the UK, yet and some of the people here might not know that the episodes can be found online.

Anyway, I thought Monroe said that he (Kimura) was still in the house but then Rosalee says the scent is female. Then, we see Nick's mom attack Monroe who Blutbaads while Rosalee Fuchsbaus to protect him but Nick intercedes just as mom's about to slit Monroe's throat.

The preview on NBC shows that there's romance between Rosalee and a Blutbad.

I think if a thread is titled US pace then it should be fine, with no need for spoiler tags. People waiting to watch when it's aired in the UK usually only read and post in the UK pace thread. Anyway, enjoyed the opening episode too, and also hope Nick's mother stays around for a bit. It did look like she was just after the coins at first, though, and was going to disappear again.

Enjoyed the episode, glad we have a bit more info. Really hope they don't go with Amnesia with Juliette. If they do, they should at least let Hank in on the secret.

BUT - I absolutely Hate the new title sequence. Absolutely awful

What the hell or where in hell is Renard from?? That's some freaky juice and reaction he had to it....

Why does Nick have two service weapons I don't know?? I can't imagine it's standard procedure. Still it came in handy for this episode. It shouldn't get him him off the hook just like that though, the FBI wouldn't just leave it like that would they??

Hmm, not sure what the thing is with his mum either, why would she want to stick around, unless she knows what or who Renard is perhaps?

As for the hospital, what a joke it is.. I'm sorry, but first of all they question who Nick is, they act like they didn't know him and then at the end acted all shocked with the reveal at the end, which was so obvious. Still I guess that I obviously paid attention to the episode to notice the faults, but it didn't stop my enjoyment of the episode.

A lot of American cops carry a second gun, a back-up, but the practice is not officially endorsed.
