The 120meg rollout has not yet started, indeed there has been no schedule announced, so no-one will be on 120meg.

[quote]I can only get just over 90MB speeds now, the upload speed will stay at 5MB until the roll out of both the Double-Speed programme is finished and the 120MB Broadband roll-out has been completed,/QUOTE]This is NOT confirmed by VM, even though there has been some confusion introduced by a couple of VM Community Forum staff members indicating that this would be the case, when in fact they are still trying to get clarification from the doublespeed team.

All that we can say at the moment is taht we don't know when upload get upgraded.

Speedtest sites are notoriously unreliable

And if anyone wants to verify if they are still on 100meg or not, check the SuperHub Router Status under "Operation Configuration" and check the line "Max Traffic Rate" - 100meg will be shown as "111000000 bps".

If your download source is mainly p2p or newsgroups then the 100 / 120mb connections are pointless as VM throttle you down to less than 20% of your connection speed.

If you haven't been then you will be soon... I was also under the same impression until a week ago and now I get a max of 1.7 to 2MB during peak hours and my area has already been upgraded...

ps: the throttling started after the speed upgrades...

I think you'll find the throttling all depends how congested your area is, as all area's vary depending on load.

I've been on 10mb for 5+years and was promised 20mb by july.

Still not received anything despite the speed being doubled in my area and neighbours/friends receiving new superhubs and 20mb speed.

Have you rechecked the Virgin website to see if your area has been upgraded yet, as the dates have changed recently?
Most areas are going to be upgraded between December 2012 and February 2013 now http://doublespeed.virginmedia.com/?buspart=press_73

Have you spoken to Virgin Customer Services about this?

Your area must be oversubscribed I've never had VM throttle me down to less than 20% of my connection speed and if they did I'd leave.

No - Actually.

West Newport. I was informed upgrade was due in July.
Now in late August it has been revised to maybe December.
Currently on 50. Although, a friend bitched and got it from 20 to 50 already.
I have noticed that my previously rock-solid 45 / 50 has started slipping and often drops to 10 or even less, so I'm not holding my breath

Dudley (West Midlands) has just been upgraded to 100Mb. I was on 50Mb ever since the early roll out schedule of that, and all other previous speed tiers.
Happened within the last few days, i think either 27 or 28th of September.

My best speed test results are 107Mb from both BT wholesale site and the speedtest.net London server (bottom of the 3 London servers)

Conversely, I was July onwards, then it changed to Sept-Nov 2012, then to End of Sept, and was marked as complete Saturday or Sunday morning.

Don't know about the actual speed-doubling as I had already upgraded to the speed-doubled 100/5 some months ago by request.
