Does anyone use Goodreads?

I'm on there (username is bamdaph) but haven't really used it much.

I think it's a good idea to be able to see what your friends are reading and read reviews of books before you read them.

Have you used it? Would you recommend it?

I do, but I'm nosey, and its useful to remind me just what I have read. I like to know what other people say on the review.

I love it, I used to use weRead but read about goodreads on here and have used that since. A good way to keep track of what you've read (100/150 of my 2012 target so far) and reviewing books and also discovering new books. They hit 10 million members which is nice to hear for a book website. http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/7403283-shaun

I only set up a profile on there a month ago mainly because I heard good things about it on this forum. This is my profile: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/10768884-allie

I really like the site - there's quite a bit to do on there and lots of info about the books too.

Thanks for the replies. I'm glad it's popular as a reading tool.

I've added everyone here so if you get a request from Bamdaph, that's me

I use it. I find it very useful, it allows me to add reviews for books I've read which I then add to book club I am a member of on Facebook.
I so far have..*coughs* one friend from school. But not many people I know read to the level I do.
if anyone wants to add me http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/10837440-david

I use it to keep track of what I've read and it's good to see what book suggestions they give based on your reading history.

Goodreads is ok .. I'd appreciate a similar site more tailor-made for the UK a bit more useful though

I'm on goodreads...I'm a member of the UK Amazon Kindle Forum...it's a great site and we talk about everything and anything. It's really friendly and I've made some lovely friends who have helped me through some hard times. It's good for indie authors as they're always given a warm reception and advice if they want it...it's a really fun site. Drop in if you get a chance.

I'm on goodreads too, joined a while ago but only just starting to really use it (its an avoidance tactic - I'm meant to be doing a dissertation!) add me if you'd like: http://www.goodreads.com/GeorginaMartin
