Jasmine is sensitive? I reckon so

She is so upset when people nominate her (like Martin Kemp). She feels rejected. This is the best way to gauge someone's level of sensitivity - being rejected. Some people shrug it off, some get a bit upset and some people feel devastated. Jasmine says to Martin:

"It's not a game to me."

She can't remover her emotion from the 'game'. She knows it is a game, she was aware of the show before she agreed to take part, but the pain of being rejected by someone she 'trusted' is too much. But when you think about it, how can you trust someone after a few days of knowing them? You can't. At best it's a superficial trust. She imagines Martin Kemp is her new best male friend in the house, someone she can trust, but the reality is he's just another BB housemate out for himself, out to win!

Her reaction is identical to Andrew Stone's. He didn't care about being nominated but he cried in the diary room. The pain of rejection was too much. He couldn't accept nomination was part of the game.

I don't know if Jasmine is a nice person but she seems a sensitive type. And one thing is certain - if you're sensitive but dish out the abuse, when you get it back it really hurts! Jasmine has just found this out and on national tv.

Hemorrhoids are sensitive too, but guess what - nobody likes them either.

I agree with you about the sensitivity to rejection by nominations. She didn't get abuse back, though, as far as I am aware. Nobody swore at her, name-called her or said anything remotely equivalent to the vicious tirade she directed at Danica.

Very sensitive with regards to her own feelings, very insensitive to the feelings of others.

I never noticed any, not even Crocodile ones. With nearly 6000 postings OP, I'm surprised you're not a little more perceptive.

Sensitive people don't go out of their way to hurt other people's feelings though so sorry not buying it.

There's a world of difference between being sensitive to the feelings of others and being sensitive about your own.

I'd normally be quite embarrassed about stating such an obvious truism, but apparently it's still needed.

I thought the tears were more lined up with the fact that she herself thought she'd done well to be nice to people and it hadn't worked! Can't remember what she said in the DR with Julie, but that was the idea I got. It was almost like they should appreciate she hadn't been an all out bitch and therefore not nom her!

I'm talking about being sensitive as a personality type.

Harvey looked at her as if she came from planet mars with what she was saying.

Perhaps, but I view merely being sensitive about oneself but not to others is quite worthless.

I think she is sensitive. But she has been quite insensitive to others, namely Danica. Also, she is the type of person where everyone has to 'adapt' to her and she gets to be "herself."

She's hyper-sensitive and an emotional wreck. I don't think the the surreal, intense environment of BB is right for her.

Exactly...she is nasty...makes me laugh when she did the whole 'you are so beautiful Danica...why do you do what you do'...and here we have Jasmine...so pretty...clearly anorexic. has issues with herself...slating others?????

I think she's the least confident out of all of them in there, she puts on a front. She's misunderstood.

True, she is sensitive but only when it comes to her..she has no sensitivity to the damage she may be doing others, which makes her a self-centered sociopath.
