Experimented on Saturday and came up with these - Chocolate brownies with a surprise filling of Reece's peanut butter cups all merged in together in a big gooey, delicious mess.

I don't have a full recipe but it used tomato puree and pasata and cream with some spices thrown in.

If I added cumin, corriander, ginger etc then it would have made a nice tikka masala sauce.

Awaiting my roast dinner with anticipation, thought I'd upload the few things I'd made during the week.

Delicious buttery biccies with homemade apricot jam.

Very chocolatey cupcakes.

I could kill for that right now, degsy. Unfortunately I am off the carbs at the moment.

Experiment with potatoes today

Sunday lunch (before it was doused in Bisto!) with an experiment - 'duchess potatoes' - mashed potatoes mixed with beaten egg (I added dried rosemary to mine) and then piped, and baked. Mine look a bit pale but they were lovely and crispy, and a lovely soft and smooth texture in the middle, and very tasty!

Aha. A blast from the past, Pommes Duchesse.
Yours sound and look great, especially with the added rosemary.

Oh I didn't know they were retro! Yeah they really tasted yummy! I normally hate making mashed potatoes but I really wanted to try this out. It was worth all the hassle.

I tried out new potatoes for my Sunday dinner too!

"Skinny" Dauphinoise potatoes with all the rest. I didn't eat ALL my roasters/Dauphinoise potatoes, I was just STARVING when I plated up.

Earlier in the week, I had a go at Sloppy Joes with nachos. Came over all American!
