If anyone that deserves praise is ITV they were the ones that have been doing repeats of "Benidorm" recently and not STV.

I also wonder if the other missing "dramas" from few years back will ever make it to the STV screen - highly doubt it ... more likely now be rolled under a carpet and never to see the light of day

It does sort out the mess between the two for the past 4 years. I will miss the opt outs, ( SOME NOT ALL!)

Have you forgotten about them showing POMS/Cornwall recently?? .... they started them and then gave up ... ITV1 has just recently repeated POMS but STV choose to "opt out"

The STV opt outs were hardly relevant to Scotland anyway unless your counting the cack programming such as "weatherwatch" or "scotlands greatest album" ... but does make you think WILL STV up their game on this than produce such cheap programming .... I will wait and see...

STV's own OPT OUT: was cheap made for TV films and "underbelly" - barely see Scottish relevancy to the opt outs ... it was really all a ploy to fool the public ... oh well but this announcement doesn't make me think "oh I'll now go back to STV" sorry STV have ALOT of hard work to do before I am back on board

Will we ever see the umpteen number of shows that have never appeared? Law & Order, Whitechapel, older series of Dinner Date, Golden Balls, film premieres, and numerous others..... A whole shambles if you ask me. I will believe this arrangement when I see it, because they are still farfing about and messing up series etc....

Oh and guess what - Poms In Paradise (which suddenly stopped on STV after about 3 shows) is being shown on STV from episode 1 next week!

Yes seiko I will miss them too - like a sore head!

Let's see now - The Hour (scrapped after a few weeks) - nope! Weatherwatch with Shhhhaaawwwwnnnn - er nope! Scotland's Greatest Album - z listers talking at a table with cheap videos being shown - nope! Scottish Passport -
Sportscentre - cheap and tacky - never returned!

These are the disasters I remember - where's the Paracetamol?

I keep forgetting the other dramas as you mention - oh good news POMS been shown next week is it ... does this mean STV will actually RUN a series without stopping .... lets give them a clap .... on second thoughts .... er no

I am in full agreement with you MrSirs I will wait and see if STV live up to the expectations....

The opt outs from STV when you look at it - were just cheaply made! (made by STV) - the opt outs were appalling to watch - made you want to punch the TV and also STV bought in imports including Australian US imports and an MTV import .... most of STV opt outs were IMPORTS and nothing more!! (or made by STV)

Well I got a PS3 and I am sticking to LONDON thank you .... forget the crap STV are given me!

They will cope just fine .... nothing to worry about ... its OK STV have forgotten about us in the STV North area anyway ... we are already on a desert island ... wanna join us??

Regarding ITV Player so let me get this right STV are going to block us from viewing ITV content when originally shown and show us it when they feel like it ... say 6months-3 years later? Sorry but I can already hear complaints will fire in. If STV had kept the way things were BEFORE the fiasco began no one would have complained but STV have completely made a balls of things and still expect the scottish public to VIEW their CONTENT to ITV's? ... sorry ITV wins with me and i'll happily watch ITV1 on PS3 or VM

Presume this does not include more English soccer on STV?

It is going to be interesting to see if some of the culturally important exclusively Scottish programmes survive, STV gave lots of reasons why some of them were shown.

Also I wonder if it will affect the breakfast programme not being on HD as it that a completely separate dispute.

I agree with you.
As long as its not called ITV1 Scotland and we keep local news as it is and the odd opt-out show once in a while.

Underbelly on STV was something i was always jealous over, with it not being on ITV1.

From memory STV showed the Community Shield the other week, seemed ironic given their "we won't show the FA Cup" stance previously.

All that's needed now is for STV to sort out it's carriage issues with Sky to get STV HD onto the EPG properly.

I noticed this too and think it indicates we will be seeing FA Cup football this season as the Community Shield is part of the FA TV package.
