She thought 20% was the same as one twentieth, though even then she should have given the answer as 5, not 5%

But she said the answer was 5%, which made no sense at all. If childen are not taught how to do calculations, who will make the calculators in the future?

I bet she doesnt even know what 20 - 5 x 3 is!!!! My suspicion is she would join about 95% of the adult population who, bless them, think the answer is 45. But then she wouldnt grasp the enormity of 95%
Yay I am in the 5%

She'll not be able to hang onto her money if she can't even calculate how much she earns and how much tax she pays etc. If her agent charges her 20% on every hundred pounds she earns, she will think that's £5.

We are laughing at her because she was claiming she wasn't just a pretty face. And just because somebody is a bit thick doesn't always mean they are dyslexic.

If I were married to her I don't think I'd be divorcing her anytime soon. If i had to, 20% of what she eared in the last year I almost guarantee is more than I earned in my last financial.

it's been a rough year.

Ours was PEMDAS - parenthesis exponents multiply/divide add/subtract, and memorized as please excuse my dear aunt Sally.

Kids take calculators to school.

That wasn't allowed in my day.

I'd like to see the rest of them asked the same question. I bet not many would pass.
Julian seems to think it's witty, or something, to test Rhian's intelligence.

In an earlier episode, he asked her to spell syphilis.
