Sorry didn't realise there was another thread.
And there it is, the boarding house they decided to set up on the very last day of last term. |

Feels like watching a brand new drama, maybe it'll take a while to adjust

This is hilarious, I know the political reasons why the show was moved to Scotland but this could be set anywhere - are there *any* Scottish kids in this?

So far the new WR seems to be a cross between The Secret Life of Tracy Beaker and a dash of Take the High Road.

By suddenly going from a comprehensive school in Rochdale to a boarding school in Scotland apparently funded by a wealthy benefactor I think it's definitely going to change to nature of the show.

It just feels...so different. I know that's stating the obvious but it doesnt feel like I'm watching WR.

Jane Beale with a Scottish accent is going to be a bit strange. At least she is better at accents than that other Mrs Beale, Michelle Collins, is though!

And the actress who played Jane in EE, Laurie Brett is Scottish, so we get to hear her natural accent.

They have a boarding house for a select group of pupils (mainly a plot device to explain the pupils who have moved from Rochdale). Most of the school's pupils will live in their own homes. |

Boarding schools are schools with a boarding house, some like Eton are boarding only, but others will have day pupils. Both can be described as boarding schools though, even if it isn't compulsory.
