OK, so Lady GaGa is probably my favourite artist, I think she has written some great pop songs over the past few years and really think she will have the same longevity of artists like Britney and Madonna. I think when she first came out, she was one of those rare artists who appealed to almost everyone, male, female, gay, straight, old and young. I've been to the Monster Ball Tour and have tickets for the BTW Ball Tour
My problem - I also hate the 'Little Monster' thing. Its at the point now where I would never admit to people that I like her, because your just put into the category of a strange, deluded weirdo, and I would like her 100x more if it weren't for the 'Little Monsters'

deadmau5 .also my choice for a band with the worst fans, guns n roses.
As a Gn'R fan I can't agree!! BUT I will agree with those who are STILL going about 'original' Gn'R when a lot of them weren't even alive when 'original' Gn'R were out.

I loved original, I love Axl's new Gn'R and I love what Slash and Duff are doing.

It was actually quite amusing at the O2 last time they were over, there were a gobby bunch of lads behind us who seemed to be there mainly to yell abuse at Axl and kept shouting out about Slash but when Duff walked on stage they didn't have the faintest idea who he was.......................

I think part of the problem is a lot of gnr fans don't seem to be that clued up, gnr are quite a pop metal friendly band at times so you get a lot of people who typically would have no interest in metal or heavy rock or are just generally ignorant who like their music. you get this with other genres of music deadmau5 is another example.

Ted Nugent. All his fans seem to be far-right rednecks.

I think you get a lot of posers saying they love bands like AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith etc., when all they've ever heard is Highway To Hell, Sweet Child O'Mine and Walk This Way. It's just something that comes with the territory of being a famous rock band.

On the thread topic, I recently got Twitter, and can't believe the number of ridiculous trending topics about Justin Bieber. #NorwayNeedsJustin - are you serious?!

I met a girl once who was always wearing AC/DC tops. I started talking to her about them and she looked at me like I had two heads. I mean, what was I thinking that someone wearing a band t-shirt actually listened to them? Guns N' Roses are the latest classic rock band to become a fashion-trend victim - I've seen a few t-shirts in River Island and the same sort of idiots buying and wearing them without a clue about the band themselves.

Hope nobody minds me reviving an older thread, as I think One Direction fans are currently the most annoying bunch of people on the internet. They are everywhere, and they are ridiculous. I hope the majority will eventually grow up and move on, but some are middle aged and maybe even older women. Boggling.

I also feel a bit uncomfortable around Leona Lewis fans. I used to be a big fan but have gradually drifted away from her as she's just not prolific enough and I've not liked the few songs she has put out there over the last couple of years...but when I've said that I am not feeling her latest single, I was able to tell that my opinion generally wasn't welcome.

One Direction fans are by far the worst. My youngest sister is 13 and one of the only girls in her school year not to be completely obsessed with them; she prefers All Time Low and Green Day (que proud big brother moments) and gets absolute hell from the 'Directioners'. When asked if she liked Liam Payne's new haircut, my sister replied by saying she didn't really care and was met with hate messages on her Facebook page calling her a bitch and that she should die. It wasn't just one individual, it was six girls who were all excluded with immediate effect. Disgusting and from what I've seen on the internet there seems to be a lot like that out there

1D fans seemed to have overtaken Bieber fans in terms of obnoxiousness, and that's saying something.

ANY rock bands fanbase. They think just because they listen to rock they're better than everyone else, they think their bands are underrated but if they get a popular song they get annoyed by 'new fans' and they think its fine to hate on any other singer but when someone attacks their band they don't think its fair.

I've started to see a rather ugly side to some Leona Lewis fans. I think they might be worse than Little Monsters.

Well it's true... in most cases, Rock bands in general write/produce their own songs and worked their arses off playing in right dumps to get into the big stadiums. And more importantly the sound is made with insruments... not something some bloke by the name of Josh sat in LA has put together on his laptop.

I'm glad other people see it. There is one in particular who is being very aggressive.

I can't wait until the school kids go back. They bring the internet down a lot when they're around 24/7, imho.

I don't understand why this kind of flawed logic still persists. Yes, a lot (but not all) chart music is very derivative but so is a lot of rock music. Electronic music composition and production requires just as much skill as instrumental music, regardless of whether it's made on a laptop or in a big studio. Whether it's made with "real" instruments or not is irrelevant. And rock music also relies on plenty of "blokes called Josh" using computers to get it mixed well and sounding good live and on record, in the same way that electronic music does.

Also, I think you'll find that whatever genre the music is, all artists have to work equally hard and play in their fair share of small venues to get noticed (apart from a few lucky ones), not just rock bands. There are many popstars who do write their own material but the job still involves a lot of hard work even for the ones who don't. If writing your own music is such an issue then why do artists like Elvis and Frank Sinatra and get so much respect, because neither of them did?

But regardless of all that, music taste is highly subjective. Different things are important to different people. Nobody can claim they're a better person because they prefer listening to music that was made a certain way.

I totally agree! Christina Aguilera put up with two years of abuse from jealous girls who literally ambushed her auditions and slashed the tyres of her only car (her mother's car), which is just evil. Yes, I'm an Aguilera fan, but I'm not one of the fans who denies that she can be an absolute bitch to other people. To be honest, she's a bitch to acts I don't like (the wanted) so I enjoy it!

Recreating or making your own pop/electronic music is surprisingly difficult. It has taken me years to gather experience on it, and the range of sounds makes it convenient but extremely difficult as a lot of sounds just don't work together and it can take ages to master whatever you are producing. And with rock, mostly bands have bass, electric, piano, drums, and effects (added using a laptop).

People need to stop putting down electronic artists. If it's at the standard of 'Friday' by Rebecca Black then fair enough, but otherwise, get your head out of your ass. There is quality electronic music out there.

I get so annoyed when a rock song from a very unknown band suddenly becomes a massive hit and the original fans hate the band because they have found success. They're as controlling as the directioners!

There are probably 3 contenders for that title:
1-Rihanna fans
, Rihanna Navy. Well I dont know whats the medium of age of her fanbase is because these guys are so gullible. I dont understand how they always worship the ground she walks upon and it seems like she cant do no wrong in their eyes. When she will hit rehab or her groundbreaking point I want to hear what their excuses will be. By the way, Im not wishing for it to happen but just saying that its a possibility .

2-Beliebers Enough said

3-The Directionners once again self-explanatory .

I think that other fanbases like the Beehives, The Monsters, Team Breezy yes these fans go HARD for their celeb but at the same time they usually keep them in check (Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Chris Brown) meaning that they dont always agree with everything that they do .

Directioners have to be the worst. Say something about one of the band and prepare to have death threats sent your way.

On here, though, I've only had trouble from Leona Lewis fans, and I'm really not sure why. It's turned me off from her, to be perfectly honest.
