Just added all the ratings from BARB onto Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Only_Connect

Took me almost an hour!

It's quite interesting to see the change from 4 years ago.

Which colour of silk do you think suits Vicky the best?

I shall vote for yellow.

Victoria is busy tomorrow night. She's on both QI and Would I Lie to You?

Would I lie to you is a repeat from a few years ago.

Was a bit thrown off this week by the question claiming all Hong Kong taxis to be red, when they operate a three colour system of Red, Blue and Green!

Here's an interesting tweet: https://twitter.com/_L_M_C_/status/2...858626/photo/1

Really enjoyed the VC double bill tonight on QI an WILTY. Never seen Vicky in glasses before. I approve.

Red taxis - that serve the city area - are by far the most prominent, in the same way that not all London cabs are black.

Green cabs serve the New Territories and the blue cabs (of which there are only 50) serve the airport area.

Some sequence puzzles - should be solvable from 2 terms (feel free to use Google but if you do please don't type answer here until someone else has got it. Cheers.). Hopefully an improvement on the Marx bros attempt last week - but criticism is welcome!

Puzzle 1 (hard)
1. D F H J L M O S U
2. G N P R T V W X Z 'the'
3. ...
4. ?

Puzzle 2
1.The matador
2.Wolfie
...
4. ?

Puzzle 3
1. 4,294,967,297
2. 65,637
...
4. ?

Puzzle 4
1. Sirius A
2. Lalande 21185
3. ...
4. ?

Puzzle 5 (easy)
1. Spacecaps
2. Rotator
3. ...
4.

If the rough theme is worked out, there is some guessability built into each one (though would be tough for Puzzle 1), even without figuring out the exact terms in a sequence. All the sequences except for Puzzle 5 have a unique answer (at least that is the intention), while puzzle 5 requires only to fit a specific concept.

Best wishes all.

Well played to degsyhufc, LostFool and kempshott - thanks for tackling them!

Good to see they led to the intended answers.

Only Puzzle 1 left (kinda pleased with that one!)
