Does anyone else think Ziggler should have beaten Orton clean at Night of Champions?

A loss wouldn't have hurt Orton, but a clean win would have gone a long way to giving Ziggler credibility as a future world champion.

Virtually everything in wrestling has been done before. There are very few "original" stories left to tell - even Punk's pipe-bomb and subsequent hijacking of the title at MITB 2011 was a twisted re-telling of the Montreal Screw-Job.

I think it would be interesting to see that therapist be Kane and D-Bry's manager

Not forgeting the finish to Punk/Taker Montreal screwjob 2 at Breaking Point 2009 I believe.

Nope, what i wanted to see was a cash-in of the MITB and a new World Champ....Shamus is sooooo boring.

The NOC finish was a version of the Dusty finish, where the decision in the match is reversed after the fact by the referee, so called as Dusty Rhodes used it all the time in shows he booked.

Did you watch the PPV? The Divas title match you could have heard a pin drop, no-one gave a crap about it and i think most people used it as a chance to go to the toilet or grab a drink. Never seen a crowd at a PPV simply fail to react at all to any match, but they simply didn't want to be bothered with this one.

I wonder how much longer we'll see an active Divas division, they already removed one of the titles and have been reducing the roster and reducing the storylines and number of matches for them recently. Worse still they don't let the women wrestle anymore and matches are over in under a minute. Reduced to simple eye candy now sadly

John Cena has had surgery and will recover within two to three weeks but will be out of action for four to six weeks: http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2012-09...rgery-26053092

The top guys must relish getting injured - it's the only time they get off to spend with their families!

It's a shame that they can't find a way to give each member of the roster a break. They could just have a brief angle on TV to give a storyline reason for their absence. If they structure it so there isn't more than one main eventer absent at the same time, it could easily work.

For the mid card and lower card roster, they could just keep them off TV when it's their time to have a break.

They used to be able to. Remember the summer the Undertaker disappeared? It was because his son had been born. Ricky Steamboat lost to Honky Tonk Man so he could spend time at home with his son. How about when Hulk Hogan got his "ribs broken" by Earthquake?

Unfortunately they do not have enough top level talent these days to let alone take much time off. Except Taker, of course, but he has so much cumulative injuries to his back, biceps, hip, knees and shoulders that he can only wrestle a few times a year at the most.

Jbl is starting the next stage of his seven summits campaign next week, so it'll just be Cole and JR (unless they bring in another guest commentator).

If Cena's injury was a bit more complicated who on earth could they get to face Punk for the title? Was thinking about it watching RAW, theres barely a single credible face on the whole roster, Orton maybe but I think hes SD technically?

They might run a champion vs. champion match - Sheamus is over, but he isn't on a Punk/Cena level of overness yet. A program with Punk could do wonders for him.

That'd be a little similar to Abyss/Joseph Park though especially with Abyss being a Kane rip off.

I think he'd be glad as a jobbing actor to have some steady income.

ESPN has him secure for another 2 years and aside from that, I doubt he'd ever come back, he's said on Twitter he considers it a closed chapter in his life.

There's barely any brand split left any more. Smackdown guys are on Raw every week. It doesn't really matter any more what brand you're on, it seems you're eligible for any title. Bryan spent months feuding with Punk over the WWE Title and he's a Smackdown guy.

Hope there's not too much of a delay in getting a new distributor sorted out. Sad that Silver Vision have come to an end, they really were a fantastic company.

Who else remembers this trailer from the old Silver Vision VHS releases in the 80's and early 90's?
