Tim Shaw Rock FM

Really enjoyed listening to Tim Shaw's Wrong Show on 97.4 Rock FM today, it's been a while since I've really laughed out loud in the car.
Interviewing some guy off the TV over the phone, then pretending they'd lost phone connection (even though he was still there) and totally insulting him using the insults as text in by listeners earlier.

OK when I type this out, it sounds pretty crude, but it was really funny on air, I understand this guy has been sacked from around 13 radio stations and had Europe's biggest fine at some point.

Anyone else listen???

Definitely one of the most underrated jocks out there. You just don't get that creativity from other presenters that you get with him.

Why did he leave BRMB?

Why doesn't he stay anywhere THAT long?

I think you may have hit the nail on the head there 4-4-2.. also see Robin Banks. Sadly this kind of act doesn't have much longevity unless you're Moyles.

I think this kind of show would probably suit a weekly format (like Rock FM) doubt a daily.

Also, I believe he doesn't stay anywhere that long, because he usually ends up being given the boot for causing offense

Tim Shaw... jeez....I listened religiously every time he was on Kerrang in Birmingham a good few years ago (The Asylum) ...he was Brilliant!

I wondered what had happened to him.

Just hope he don't overstep the mark....

Tim has been fired from every station he has worked at due to his antics.

He staged a mock burglary at his boss's house and broadcast it live step by step....that was interesting... (one of many stunts)

An exception: he wasn't fired from Absolute Radio. He left of his own volition, to do that Man In Box thing. But yes, he was suspended from Absolute for a couple of weeks.

He does a networked show on Bauer network sundays before the chart called the Wrong Show.

I heard about 10 minutes last week, he was ringing up nandos trying to get free meals for listeners in return for a live radio ad it was cringworthy and rude.

Dave Kelly does wackiness and fun much better.

Listened for around ten minutes and I thought what a pile of turd. Seems odd to network Sunday afternoons and not weekday lates or weekend evenings.

I heard it for the first time yesterday and thought it was funny. I guess you have to be in the mood for this sort of thing lol

Sounds very local radio and desperately trying to be ker-razy, but failing. Very wacky. quack quack oops.

I dunno... I just find it a bit different to the usual, which can only be a good thing, it adds to the choice!

Is it now available across the Bauer network and not just rock fm?

Wasn't on Radio City, as they had the football on, not sure if he's going to be on there in future or not. Was on the rest of the network though I think.
