First off, I hated the Brittany plotline. It could have been good with her missing Santana and struggling to keep up with everything at school but the amount of ridiculous lines they gave her which made her sound like an infant ruined it. Also are we supposed to believe she faked her depressive stint at school so her comeback would be even better regardless of how much trouble the glee club got in?

Love the New York stuff, I felt Cassie and Rachel came to a sort of understanding about one another but I hope they still have the same relationship for a while longer. I was also hoping for a Brody/Rachel kiss. Thought Rachel and Kurt riding their bikes in their loft was very cute. Love them together.

PUCK WAS BACKKK!!! I didn't realize how much I missed some of the older cast until he appeared on screen. I feel Santana was wasted, her skype session may have been better later in the episode when Brittany got kicked off the cheerios, Santana could have given her a reality check which would lead to Brittany starting to make more of an effort.

Like Jake, but found the 'boy is seeing bitchy cheerleader but is pining over a girl who loves to sing' a rehash of season 1.

Music
- loved womanizer, Unique is hilarious!
- enjoyed the scenes during everytime, I for one don't think Heather could have pulled off the vocals so maybe its good Marley sang it.
- Oops I did it again! was amazing. Glad to see Rachel maturing and having someone to help bring her up as opposed to when she was in Lima.
- Didn't really like 3, thought it was a bit pointless. Thought Boyfriend was pointless as well but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
- Was really disappointed Gimme More was such a wreak because Heather's vocals sound amazing in this track, much better than Hold It Against Me.
- Crazy (wow didn't realise how many songs were in this episode) was good as well.

I thought it was a good episode, better than the first one.

It was a pee take off the real Britney's life.

The New York scenes feel a lot like what 'The Kids From Fame' would be like if it was updated in the same way BH 90210 has been updated.

The songs were obviously good being Britney songs (you either love her songs or hate them) and I liked 3 and Boyfriend.

Jake suddenly going out with Kitty seemed a bit shoe horned in. Kitty doesn't seem to have much presence, she just seems to appear out of no where, does something nasty for no reason and then disappears.

This is how a Glee episode should be in terms of song to story ratio.

Loved Womanizer the most. As well as Oops I did it again.
One thing that made me laugh, Jake:"I prefer music with real instruments", then goes onto sing with his voice dripping in autotune.

I'm not sure that splitting the show is working, simply because the New Directions are now a bit bland. I wish they'd done a proper spin-off for Rachel and Kurt (and Santana, too).

And I don't count that as an appearance for Santana. Swizz!

This episode was actually kind of a hot mess to be honest.

Did FOX really do this episode just because Britney is currently on The X Factor US as a judge?

Brittany's downward spiral was too hard to take seriously at times throughout the episode and that Gimme More performance was shambolic without actually being entertaining to be honest.

In fact, most the Britney songs just didn't work that well to be honest. I wasn't keen on Blaine/Artie's Boys/Boyfriend mashup and Rachel just cannot pull off sexy to save her life as her take on Oops I Did It Again seemed to prove.

Womanizer with Unique, Tina and Marley seemed to be a little lacking as well.

I did however like Marley's take on Everytime and her and Jake's duet of You Drive Me Crazy/Crazy and Tina/Joe/Sam's take on 3 was pretty decent.

Not too invested in the Marley/Jake/Kitty triangle, too soon IMO. I do like Jake and his scenes with Puck were great.

Nice to see Santana in this one but I want more of her. Continue not to miss Finn to be honest.

Brody's still cute but he does need a bit more of a personality though.

Kurt and Rachel riding bikes in their new place was brilliant. Loved that scene.

Cassandra raised some good points that Rachel needs to take on board.

Overall, too disjointed for my liking, 6/10.

I thought it was a good episode, felt last weeks story was better but preferred the music from this week.

It was clear that they were kind of taking the pee out of what has happened with Britney Spears in the past, it just was kind of wierd though when you applied it to life in a high school. It kind of felt like they reverted back to Brittany of last season where she just said these random wierd things where last week she was funny. I did like the scene with Sam though, I feel like we really only ever got to see her with Santana so I like seeing her interacting with the others.

Puuuuuuucccckkkk!! Loved seeing him back, he has always been one of my favourites (as has probably most of the cast tbf). I like that they havent pushed anything too much with the Pucks just yet (who knows what they might do) but that it was just kind of an introduction and Puck letting Jake know he was there if he wanted basically.I like the Jake and Marley stuff but I have to say that the Jake and Kitty stuff came a bit out of left field.

Literally was cringing when Rachel had a go at Cassie, I just wanted to shout noooooo at her. I think theyve kind of come to understanding with each other but its still in a way where Cassie's not going to go totally easy on Rachel and doesnt suddenly think shes great. Did anyone else get the feeling that Cassie may not exactly like Brody? Also on the Brody thing, I know hes supposed to be rival for Finn but Im not really feeling Brody/ Rachel. I dont know if the chemistry is really there, maybe its because I like Finn and Rachel together though I do think that it would be good for them to maybe see other people before they eventually stay together. I miss Finn, I know some people dont but I just think its wierd having Rachel and Kurt in NY and Finns not there.

Loving Kurt and Rachel together. Their scenes together are brilliant. Also, I cant wait for Sarah Jessica Parker next week.

Overall, I thought the songs were really good this week, especially loved 3 and Crazy/ You Drive Me Crazy and I thought Womanizer was a really good performance.

The split is still working for me because I still want to see what the kids in Lima are up to and what happens to them, though I do think the New York parts of the last two episodes have been the stronger parts.

Oh, and btw can somebody please get Brittany a pen? It is not even remotely realistic that a teacher would accept work written in crayon by an 18 year old girl no matter how dumb they apparently are.

So basically that was probably my favourite episode ever. Everything was perfect except I really wanted Brittany to sing Everytime.

When Santana made her appearance I actually gasped, I miss her and the last few seconds when Brittany was waiting for Santana to come back online was heart wrenching.

Rachel's Oops I Did It Again slayed every choreography ever done on Glee imo, including Me Against The Music.

10/10 and then some.

Was still deciding whether to bother acquiring this or wait until January, my thought being it's easy to skip the crap (McKinley scenes) on Sky than it is watching on computer, but I've just watched the 'Oops I Did it Again' video and 'holy ****!' I'm willing to put up with the crap to watch that in context.

I agree, the choreography for that was brilliant.

I agree with most of your points about the episode and although I can see where they're going with the obvious Jake/Kitty and Finn/Quinn parallel, I hope they find a new way to mix it up. What I'd like to see would be Jake standing up to Kitty and saying no he's not actually going out with her.

Absolutely loved Puck's return and that whole scene between the brothers, thought Brit and Sam's auditorium scene was also really sweet.
Songs were okay, I'm not a mad Britney Spears fan and I was glad they altered the tempo for Rachel's Oops I Did it Again, it brought a totally different vibe to the song.
Great New York scenes, I like how they're integrating and linking them back to what's going on in Lima.
Over all it's another 7 out of 10 for me same as last week's episode mostly because of the songs not the storylines though.

ETA: Am also totally holding my hand up and saying I was wrong about Alex Newell remaining on the show, so far I've loved pretty much everything Wade/Unique has been involved with. They seem to have definitely worked on his acting because his voice was always fabulous.

I didn't really think much of the episode and definitely preferred last week's. I also thought the season 2 Britney tribute was much better - it was a lot funnier and had more of a plot. Plus they reused the same jokes - Santana's subtle little 'leave Brittany alone' line in 2x02 was a lot more amusing than the more obvious reference in this episode.

I thought the whole Brittany plot was quite pointless, stupid and not really funny and it seems far too soon to really care about Marley wanting Jake.

The New York scenes were good, although I thought Rachel's plot was a little weak. Apparently she can't be sexy? Not that interesting and the show's been there before (though not with Rachel).

Some of the songs were good but nothing really stood out.

Yes! I liked him in S3 but in S4 he has been stepped up a notch, I loved it in Womanizer when he did his hair flips to Jake, but I don't understand if he sees himself as a girl or a boy...

So...while I thought the episode in itself was brilliant...they're trying to tell us that Will calls Puck to come to Lima alllllllllllllllll the way from L.A for a quick 5 minute chat with his brother and then go allllllllllllllll the way back again that same day? I'm sure they are a huge distance from each other.....right?? If so, how is that even logical?

Well, my mam has a half brother that she never knew about (well she knows about him now) and he flew from London to Dublin to meet her. In fairness if I had a half brother that I never knew about I would want to meet them straight away, especially if hes going to be around people who are your friends.

I'm not a Britney fan but I thought the episode as a whole was a little bit offensive, I mean it was better than the first one, where they just spent 44 minutes blowing smoke up her a**, but focusing on everything negative just seemed a little bit mean spirited.

Music-wise, the Crazy mash-up and Oops I did it Again are the only ones I'll be having on my itunes

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first episode.

I didn't see the need for the Britney/Brittany storyline again. I don't think some of the songs worked. I did like the New York scenes though, Rachel is just hot. Her 'Oops I did it again' was incredible.

I loved that we got to see Santana and Puck again, but I wish it had been for a little bit longer!

I thought it was better than last week which I'm surprised at but I suppose I did have low expectations.

Pretty minimal Blaine screentime which I was (ecstatically) surprised about but the next 3 episodes will probably be dedicated to him to make up for it.

Kurt is a lot more likeable with Rachel. Really enjoying them in New York. Cassandra's "trainwreck" incident seemed a little random. Making her drunkenly screw up a performance would have probably worked better. I didn't actully think Rachel's performance of Oops [..] was even that sexy but it wasn't bad either.

You drive me crazy and 3 were both pretty good but 3 may just be the most random song to ever be thrown into an episode and why were Joe, Tina and Sam singing about a threesome?

I actually liked the angle of this years Britney episode, I laughed to myself during all the references to Britney Spears' breakdown. She probably isn't happy about it though

It was nice to see Puck and Santana again but both appearances were quite short and gave little insight to what they're doing with themselves now. Aside from Rachel, and kind of Kurt, the newbies are getting more depth than the originals which is something that worries me. That said, I like the Marley/Jake/Kitty triangle despite the fact its a complete rehash of Rachel/Finn/Quinn.

Not to keen on Wade/Unique. I like what the character stands for but he/she(?) is still quite annoying and OTT. Kitty on her own seems to be a little all over the place. She only seems to appear for brief moments of bitchiness then just disappears.

Hopefully it continues getting better. My expectations are still a bit lower than previous seasons but its still watchable.

But I'm sure he didn't fly over just to have a quick 5 minute chat and then bolt off back to London straight after and to be fair, London to Dublin is miles closer than L.A is to Ohio, I checked google maps

Overall I enjoyed it more than last week, but what a shadow Glee has become compared to previous seasons.

Marley and Jake are bland, pale imitations of Finn and Rachel. Vocally they are very inferior.

There are no strong personalities left at Mckinley with the departure of the strongest characters.

Meh to the new Finchel and the returning Glee club members are still acting like they are on the second team instead of the A team now. Blaine seems to have regressed without Kurt!

I won't even get started on how awful this Britney episode was compared to the last one.

Ok, so its not exactly the same situation. But, I still would have wanted to meet him if he was my unknown half brother, even if it was only for a few minutes.

Possibly my least favourite episode ever. I found myself fast forwarding through the songs and I'm on the verge of dropping the show totally. I found S3 to be entertaining despite it's general crapness as it occasionally managed to pull out a good episode or song but I think this is one season too far.
