How to select text and print?

Does anyone know how highlight a text and then print it?

I have my emails open and I highlight a part that I want to print, so it all comes up in blue. Then I goto the tool bar, print, and it brings up the printing options which are Layout, colour, margins etc? No where that lets me print just what I had highlighted? Anyhow know how I can only print the selected text?

Highlight the part you want to keep > right click and select Copy
Open Word or Notepad (or the program of your choice) > and paste the selected text > then you can either select Print or save the document in a place you'll remember (usually Documents or the desktop) - don't forget to name it first so you'll know what it is) for later printing and/or editing.
This takes longer to describe than to do.

BTW - I hesitate to ask but what happened with the internet connection?

Well, my PC is for some reason all of a sudden going really slow. With those circle things going around on webpages and just generally everything from the internet pages to documents crashing and freezing and some times the PC crashing, so the internet connection has taken a back seat for the min. Trying to figure out how to fix my PC? Any ideas?

You can't print out just selected text from an email in the manner described in your first post

"Fixing your PC" is a completely different topic, and possibly related to the slow broadband anyway.

I strongly suggest you pay someone to come to your house and look at the PC and broadband. Months of discussion on here has not solved your problems.

I have to agree with stig get someone in to fix your pc it seems you have issues which in turn may well affect your broadband connection.

The infection you had may not have been cleaned thoroughly and i do not think you can fix.

Take it to a local repair shop show them the symptoms you are experienceing and let them advise what steps may be needed after they have investigated the symptoms and narrowed the the possible causes.

To be honest trying to copy and print is the least of your worries you need to address your pc's problems with freezing, crashing and slowness but it maybe a complex issue that you alone cannot solve and need help with.

A quickie for you and that is all it will be is what operating system are you using i.e Windows XP, Vista, 7 and how much RAM do your have i.e 512MB, 1GB or 2GB?

Found this from 18/02/2012 although I tink the RAM may have been upgraded since then

"Ram is 1.00gb
Acer C - 18.8 GB Free of 71.2GB DATA D 70.5 GB free of 70.9 GB

I have an Acer Aspire PC"

PDF files aren't designed to be edited. In fact the idea is to give a fixed consistent view whatever platform they are viewed on. You can get software to edit them, but the results are not great. I use CutePDF Pro.

By the way, this is now the third different topic in this thread.

You cannot open a pdf in Paint, but you can copy & paste.

I use Adobe Reader 9, but I assume that Foxit also has a "copy to clipboard" function. If you do this, then you can paste into Paint.

If you have Microsoft Word, or the Open Office equivalent, you can also Paste to that.
