Went into TKmaxx yesterday and picked up a trio of nails inc polishes for £7, they had loads of tempting offers but I managed to restrain myself quite well

I bought nail pop in bling shade 4...the pinky one. I've wanted a pink glitter for a while, and gave in and bought one when I really shouldn't be buying anymore. Superdrug in harrow again..they have way more beauty stuff than they have in westfields which I wouldn't have thought before. Still well stocked with Gosh Holographic too.

Favourite colour at the moment is Avon Ruby Slippers. Very similar to China Glaze Ruby Pumps. Did have a collection of about 20 which is a pathetic amount and even worse it's been under the bed since I moved here 2 years ago.

The best colour I ever had was in the 90's. It was a cheap and cheerful brand called Spectacular and the colour was Morticia. It was a dark Cadbury purple. The shop stopped stocking the brand and I've never found it since.

I've currently got nothing on. I've had bare nails since Sunday. I feel all weird, but at the same time, have no desire to paint them.

I'm only doing them now because I'm back in uni tomorrow...

Is the Gosh Holo anything like the Model's Own Indian Ocean from the Beetlejuice collection? Had a google and they look pretty similar! Just wondering

I wouldn't say they were similar. Holo is a silver and you can only really see the effect in the light, its opaque in 2 coasts, whereas I found Indian Ocean to take about 5 coats to be opaque, blue and tbh better for layering!
They do look quite similar on some pics, but they're pretty different in real life!

Hope that helped

I was doing the same! Dam money. Although apparently they're really hard to get off even with foil?

I've got that on too. Love the depth of pigment in it. I've top coated it with a tiny blue glitter. Looks so sparkly.

Yeah, Barry M Navy is a really good one. The purple equivalent is excellent too. Vivid Purple I think.

By contrast, what isn't good, is Barry M's new limited edition croc effects in orange, called Web Effects. The lid implies it's going to crackle in a web pattern, and that it can be layered over black. It doesn't, and it can't. I bought two, because there were only two left and I was quite excited, and I knew my American friend would love it, but it really is awful. Because it's croc, it is very thin, which is fine, but you can't layer it over a dark colour, because the orange is quite pale. And because it's pale and thin, the orange doesn't look very orange. I got it to work over white, which was a bit 'meh' but at least it worked. But it isn't a web at all, or anything like it, it's just a croc, and not a very good one. I'll stick to the black and burgundy crocs which are great. PAH to this one!

I've tried so many deep blues but this is just perfect. I'll definitely nab the purple then Elanor, purple is my favourite colour.
