Moneyball (2011)

So glad I decided to watch this. With a baseball theme, I wasn't sure it would mean much to me..but it was excellent. Based on a true story, it actually probably helped not knowing how things would turn out. I would recommend it to anyone, after watching a few disappointing films recently this was a joy.

Saw Wargames last night the new one was not the worst film I have seen and think I would give it a 4.5 out of 10.

Missing

Jack Lemon and Sissy Spacek search for errant son/partner during South American coup, running foul of US Govt. clowns amongst others. Excellent political drama with a strange off-kilter feel, but grounded by stand-out performances. Especially from Lemon, who is drop dead brilliant in many a key scene. 8.5/10

The Last Boy Scout

Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans lark it up in agreeably sleazy action thriller that never once threatens to take itself seriously. Tony Scott lays on the flash, Bruce the one-liners, and it all zooms along on its own trashy, cheerily violent wave of punch-ups, bullets, smashed cars etc. Great stuff. 8/10
