Elm Street was pretty much pointless. Some good ideas but It only succeeded in making everything lamer and less visually impressive than something from 1984. Freddy's face, Tina/Kris's death, the face coming through the wall etc. They even copied the 'bring him into the real world' that didn't work that well in the original.
What really annoyed me is it was set in Springwood, IL. That setting was introduced in the 1985 sequel, the original is set in Los Angeles. |

As already mentioned, Alfie looked like an insult to it's predecessor and those who paid to go and see it.

The remake of Flight of the Phoenix. Why did they have to stick a bint in the film? The original was great, the characters were interesting and the relationship between Stewart and Kruger was cracking.
The remake was pants. |

The original halloween is my all time number 1 fave film . I did my best to give the remake a go but well i did not succed it compleatly missed the point of the original as it was far to bloody for a start . The original had very little gore and full on suspence the remake was the other way around and taylor scout was a awful choice For laurie .
Nightmare remake beyond the realms of awful plotholes galore shoddy acting how the lead went on to get any other roles after this is beyond me she was a shocking choice of nancy . The kruger design didnt bring anything new except it made hime look like a hampster burns victim . But all the build up to it made it look so impressive till i saw it

'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy'. Although 'remade' from a tv prog it is truly appalling compared to the 70's original.

The Stepford Wives remake was also dreadful. I don't know how I stayed with it until the end. Maybe in the hopes it would get better at some point. |

The Wicker Man, beyond a shadow of a doubt. Utterly, completely execrable.

OOh, that god-awful movie remake of Bodysnatchers with Kidman... The Invasion. That was pretty bad and one part thriller and the last part action movie. It's the movie that can't decide what it wants to be (apart from awful).
And Arthur was pretty awful. Along with everyone's favourite, The Fog. |
