Life long Bond fan here and while i thought Skyfall was very good, It's nowhere near as great as Casino Royale. Not sure where it falls in in terms of rank, but it's not as good as From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, OHMSS, Licence To Kill and possibly Goldeneye.

I was a little let down, but only because some of the reviews are saying this is basically the best bond movie. It's not.

A friend has told me there's a real "nod to the past" moment that got a small round of applause.
Dying to know what it is.........tomorrow can't come quick enough.
That happened in our screening too. It was a brilliant moment

A good film, but should have been called M rather then James Bond as she is the star.

First spoiler says WHEN it happens, so people can keep an eye out(although it's pretty obvious when it happens).
Second spoiler says WHAT happens, so don't click that one unless you want to know

Have to agree, actually felt it dipped during the middle and i was quite bored not a bad film but really don't think it is as good as people are saying. Also loved and prefer Casino Royale, Quantum not so much.

Thouroughly, thouroughly enjoyed this film. Like classic bond films, it had more of a story to it and I was surprised by how the story played out. Marvellous acting from all involved (particularly Craig & Dench). One of my favourite bond films to date.

Easily the best of the Craig films, and the only one of them that actually felt like Bond - in that it was actually fun- rather than a rather ropey knock-off of Bourne.

It was great to see London play such a starring role for once in a Bond film

I disagree that it is the best Bond film ever. It differs from traditional Bond films. Some people will prefer it. I think teenagers may not prefer it.

I think the name `Skyfall` refers to the scene were the alien invaders spaceships descend from the sky.

They weren't aliens.

It was Hugo Drax from "Moonraker", back for revenge.

Utterly supreme. Superior to recent Bonds on a cinematic level as it is visually stunning.

I now know what Chris Evans meant when he said to review it runs the risk of spoiling it, but without giving too much away well done to the EON publicity team for misdirecting the rumour mill regarding this movie (let's just say that the smart-arsed contributors to IMDB are going to have to re-write a fair few of their entries), and as a total Bond-phile I was rendered speechless by the finale.

There are those who will pick holes with the continuity issues, but they said from the start they were breaking of the arc of the story that was Casino Royale/Quantum of Solace, and this film is miles better because of it.

Whoever it was earlier who said the young'uns won't like it is talking crap. There are elements of The Dark Knight and even the later Harry Potter movies in this that will hit familiar chords with them, and the movie will expose them to the elements of Bond films that the older audience recognise.

An absolute triumph on a number of levels. Definitely the film that was needed for the 50th Anniversary and if not the best then the best of it's time. Not just a great Bond film but probably the greatest cinematic event of 2012.

Loved it. Known about the ending for months - it's been so hard to keep it quiet.

I was delighted that so much of it was UK based. People will know from te trailer that Shanghai plays a part, but it was nive to see so much of the UK i it.

And I was even more delighted that ..

I don't think every young person is going to like this, as its not as constantly action packed as many other modern day action movie such as the Avengers and Taken. those who enjoy the more mindless action movies may find parts a little slow moving. However Bond shouldn't be trying to compete with those films, as it doesn't need to - and in Skyfall it certainly doesn't.

Has a Bond film ever been hyped so much?
Lots of people saying its the best Bond ever.
That has been said for the last 50 years.

Some of you have very narrow minded views of young people.

We're young, therefore we won't enjoy this.

How stupid can some of you be?

I know, it's incredibly insulting. The only people who only like films that are as action-packed as The Avengers are very small children or idiots. Everyone else, incuding young people, can enjoy films for any number of reasons. To disagree with that is just downright prejudice.

Coming from someone who saw Casino Royale aged 14 and was totally transfixed by the slower second half of the film!

I think you and Yuffie need to get a thicker skin. No one has said all young people are going to dislike this film - loads will love it. There will be a few who will probably find it not their thing though - as demonstrated by what I heard a couple of teenagers saying on the way out of the cinema last night.

that's hardly begrudging all young people though! And even if people don't enjoy this film, it just means its not for them - not that they are stupid or have little concentration.

Not the Avengers... I have friends in college obsessed with superhero films especially the Avengers, I didn't even want to see it.

Now who's being prejudiced. I loved The Avengers, and I can safely say that i'm neither a small child nor an idiot...

Because "old" people don't go around grumbling about how films aren't what they used to be.

I'm sure there'll be just as many older folk not liking the film as there are younger ones. Which probably won't be that many on either side.

Surprisingly funny for a Bond film. Loved the gay moment.

Also nice to see London for a change.
