Just seen Tomorrow Never Dies it had quite a bit of action in some really cool gadgets so give it a 7 out of 10.

The Hunger Games

It's not original and very predictable but it turned out to be a pretty good film. I wasn't crazy about the visuals; thought it was tacky and silly looking (makeup, costumes, set design, etc). But I'm assuming that's the way it was written in the original books and the filmmakers wanted to stick to it as closely as possible (I never read the novels so I don't know). The overall look of THE HUNGER GAMES often felt at times like a cheap production seen on the SyFy channel. But like I said, I enjoyed this film and I'm looking forward to the second one.

North Sea Hijack - 1979

Had not seen this since its ITV Christmas (I think) premier about a million years ago, enjoyed it much more this time, hilariously knowing at times. Splendid straight faced farce from Sir Rog as "thats all ffolkes" who's list of character traits was clearly dreamt up for a laugh. James Mason and Tony Perkins are all game for a laugh.

Evita [1996]. Director: Alan Parker

6/10

Not a fan of the director or of the musical but this passed a couple of hours easily. Only seemed to be 2 tunes in it, repeated far too often.

Avengers Assemble - 8/10 Finally saw this last night. Apart from wonky cgi in places and the fight between Thor and Iron Man/Captain being way too dark, this was very good. Not been a fan of Joss Whedon's more recent TV work but very impressed with his directing and script in this, I think film work is where he should stay, TV not suited to his scope anymore. He used most characters very well and played to the strengths of the actors far better than Thor or Iron Man 2 did.

Went to see sightseers today (courtesy of o2 priority moments) was ok but definitely would not have paid 9.20 to see it (was first time I'd been to odeon in years, know why now!)

The Keep (1983) 5/10 Although the premise is a good one and the creature and effects passable for 1983, the film is somewhat ruined by the musical score and the disjointed story! Left to many questions unanswered.

In Time (2012) 7/10 Bonnie & Clyde with a dose of Robin Hood!

Strip Nude For Your Killer (1975) 7/10 70's slasher movie with nudity.....Whats not to enjoy!

Dracula (1979) 7/10 In my opinion one of the best Dracula interpretations, the psychedelic scene between Dracula and Lucy and Mina coming at Harker are outstanding and certainly better than Coppolas attempt!

Saw this yesterday, really enjoyed it! I'd give it 9/10 (but then I am a easily pleased 37 year old....). I've signed up to get the email to let me know when it's ready to pre-order....

I did take my 4 year old by the way!!
