You do realise the internet can be seen by anyone with access to a PC don't you?

If it hadn't been the Sun, another organisation or individual would have said something about her posting it on Twitter.
Probably, but would they have gone to the families in order to foster more outrage?

Perhaps better for her not to have posted the pics on Twitter in the first place, then the Sun wouldn't come out with the faux outrage?
But the Daily Mail had already printed them months ago and the photos had been on her twitter for the same amount of time.

Irrespective of recent events; this sexualisation of weapons has long been used by the likes of Rihanna, Madge et al. Flanagan is dumber than a box of slurry so I imagine if the opportunity arose to pose in her nothings with a corpse and a pile of dog turd she'd jump at the chance......

I don't think we should stop pictures like these because of recent events, I think they should be stopped per se.

No worries - no doubt in a couple of days the Sun will have an interview with HF showing remorse and putting across 'her side' (along with some half-naked pics of course) and everything will be OK again.

I am absolutely disgusted in this. Completely cruel. I will absolutely NOT stand for this kind of bullying. http://lockerz.com/s/270118411

Anyone who knows me knows I have the biggest heart.... I feel really chocked up that's so cruel.
Helen Flanagan ‏@helenflanagan1
Honestly I've got tears streaming down my face how can you do that to someone over something so tragic #feelsick can't believe I woke up to that
Helen Flanagan ‏@helenflanagan1
I've just been crying to my bf before he left for work.... Now I am just absolutely livid. I am really worried about my mum
Sorry, I don't really understand this as I'm not on Twitter

Is this all quotes from Helen herself?

I don't think they should be stopped at all, they're freedom of expression, but I don't think they're sensible.

Perhaps The Sun was outraged because she actually had a bra on.

I know that.

Perhaps it would have been better for her to take them off Twitter after the shootings happened?

Wait - that would be something beyond her one remaining brain cell...

Why? Was the shooter a lingerie clad woman with a pistol?

Next they'll be banning pictures of women with a scarf around their necks in case it encourages people to use them inappropriately.

Thanks. So am I to assume that she's blaming The Sun for her posting this picture of herself?

Its a gun. Aimed at the head.

Many of the children died that way, along with thousands of others across the world.

You can be outraged at the Sun all you like, but the ones who need to really think this through are the photographers who do these photoshoots and the stylists who work with them.

I agree with Prumeister, these kind of photos should be stopped.

The Sun is just as bad, maybe even worse by intruding on the families grief to show them the photo. What did they expect to gain for doing that?

I suspect she's thinking along the lines of many in this thread, in that she's upset that the sun 'reporters' would have gone out of their way to show her picture to the families in american just to get a reaction.

yes, she made a mistake in posting the picture again, but it appears it was just that - a mistake. for the sun to seize on it on the way they have is tantamount to bullying IMO.

Shocked parents in Newtown, Connecticut, where Adam Lanza shot dead 20 children and six school staff, yesterday accused Helen of “brainless stupidity”.

One angry dad, speaking at a shrine to the victims, said: “It’s just ignorant. When the eyes of the world are on what happened here, to be posing with a gun like that is insensitive and stupid.”

This sounds like total nonsense, unless they were specifically asked about the pictures. How would they know who she was?
Probably because a reporter from the Sun found one of the grieving parents, showed them the picture and then asked, "Isn't this terrible? What's your reaction?"
These kind of "shocked reaction" stories in the tabloids are not merely reported by journalists - they are created by them.

Someone died in a car crash last week.

I still took a picture of me next to my car yesterday.

Hang me.
It's not just the insensitive nature, and timing, of the photo itself, though, is it. What about the words she posted along with it - brain f*** - they are also inappropriate when you consider the mental issues which apparently drove the young man to shoot those innocent people. She may have meant "I have a hangover, this is what it feels like" (if that's what she did mean by her defense of saying she posted it when he was suffering from one) when she posted the picture and the caption, but when you put it all together with recent events it just shows an astonishing lack of any kind of common sense. This young lady is self-absorbed and ignorant of the way the world works to the point of making herself look completely ridiculous - my 18 year daughter has more sense!

I agree, but if the picture had never been taken in the first place, they wouldn't have felt they had to go down the faux outrage route.

Typical Sun stuff really - shocking people to get a reaction in order to gain column inches.

Personally I wouldn't wipe my backside with The Sun and i'll never know why so many people in this country read it,

I don't think she made a "mistake" at all. If she has even one brain cell she would have known posting the picture even once was an insultingly insensitive and ridiculous thing to do - even if the Sun hadn't jumped on it.

Why are people like HF excused for everything they do or say these days, no matter how horrible or inappropriate? I don't get it.

I see the scum has printed a picture taken way before this awful tragedy just to have something to report on.. For all those slating her ... Remember it's not a picture she has just done so she hasn't been insensitive to those families and I've seen other actors and actresses do simular pics.

Well neither you, nor I, can say that can we ?. Neither of us, or anyone else for that matter, can speak for her or her intentions. Like most things celebrity related, we base our opinions of the person in question and our own personal like or dislike of them.

I'm personally indifferent to her, so in that respect, I feel she certainly doesn't appear to be the sort of person who would do something like this with any malice or wrongful intent.

But I certainly accept that people who dislike her for whatever reason will probably feel the opposite.

She did it because she's never had to think for herself from an early age.

Plenty of evidence of that even from her own family.

I blame the parents.

It was taken a while ago, but she tweeted it (out of context) on Monday. I don't believe there was any malicious intent, but it was an incredibly stupid thing to do.
