Yep, I love listening to this tune on my phone, however don't know what the rest of the soundtrack is like.

Not a fan of their music but the Tron soundtrack is damn good
Indeed. From my hours playing the arcade game it is imprinted on my brain. I don't regret this.

And 'Purple Rain' has a fantastic soundtrack.

You can get it here for real (remastered and awesome).

Or you can just listen to the whole thing on Youtube.

Agreed awesome piece of music

Believe it or not the reworking of the Jaws theme for Jaws the Revenge is very well done and the only positive thing about that cruddy sequel

Not a movie but I really enjoyed the music from some of the recent Top Gear specials, especially the one from Vietnam and South America.

I've always loved Brad Fiedel's music for The Terminator and Ennio Morricone's music for The Untouchables. I saw Alien again recently and was impressed by the music for that too.

pleasantly surprised by Last of the Mohicans being mentioned. I also think the music from Interview with the vampire stands up on its own merits and the soundtrack to A single man is gorgeous.

Alan Silvestri's synth-heavy driving melodies for Flight of the Navigator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hl8XoRLrTmE
"Robot Romp" is my favourite track simply for those middle 8 minor chords
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=64LylkvToVU (3:28 in)

Also "Short Circuit" had an awesome closing theme : "Come and Follow Me" by Max Carl and Marcy Levy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1aTuVMFlMI

Best Bond Theme? Nobody Does It Better. However, for sheer impact, "You Know My Name" for Casino Royale worked awesomely.

Nothing beats John Williams. I can listen to ET, Jaws and Jurassic Park all day.

Honourable mention also to Howard Shore's eerie guitar-led theme for "Crash"

Many a sunday morning spent dancing around the house to the dirty dancing soundtrack. I love each and every song even the instrumental ones.

I love everything that John Williams has created and for me he surpassed himself with the first 3 Harry Potter movies.

Amazing musical score.
