I liked elements of the tv remake, bar the awful ending. The biggest problem for me was how unlikable the lead actress was as Carrie. I quite liked Claire from LOST as Chris though.

This is going to be utterly abysmal. Nobody could ever play Carrie in such a poignant and emotionally captivating way as Sissy Spacek.

And the whole thing just looks cheap and tacky. Typical, Hollywood, totally style-free shock horror.

Chloe Moretz is a good actress but isn't she too pretty to play Carrie?
Carrie is meant to be unconventional looking, i think Chloe would've made a decent Chris hargenson instead.

I didn't enjoy Carrie. I also don't mind if a film is re-made.

It's a film adaptation I'm looking forwards too, good cast and an excellent director, so will be interesting to see how it comes out from a female director's perspective this time around.

The original is one of my all time favourite films.

Saw Carrie again recently.Very good and original horror film.Remake is pointless.

On the contrary, I think that moving it to October where it will be facing other horror movies around Halloween actually shows that the distributors have a fair amount of faith in it. Considering that the Paranormal Activity series has been weakened this year the Halloween period could be up for grabs.

Few years old and when King thought Lindsay Lohan would be good as Carrie, but even Stephen King himself thought another remake was pointless as the original was a great film.

Normally I would say that another Carrie remake is a waste of time.

But Chloe Moretz will make it worth watching. A fine young actress.

She's usually the best thing about any movie she's in.
