Having decided with a bit of reluctance to finally watch The Bourne Legacy, I watched the first three again over the last few days. They, in their different ways, stand up brilliantly for me, and I think they will continue to do so thanks to Matt's Damon's acting, and Franka Potente's. Legacy just seemed to emphasise all that was good about the first three by failing to recapture their spark. Rachel Weisz was excellent though, and her hubby really did Bourne 4 last year, in the guise of Skyfall.

Sin City (2005)

Second viewing and it's still, for me, one of the best comic book adaptations for the cinema.

White Men Can't Jump

Quite an enjoyable film, not what I expected tbh.

Monsters vs Aliens - 7/10 - nice and funny animated film, not as good as some of the recent CGI films i have seen but still very entertaining

Tales of Terror (1962) - 8/10:

Three Edgar Allan Poe stories in one, starring Vincent Price in all three, and Basil Rathbone and Peter Lorre in one each. Brilliant acting all round. I really enjoyed it.

Ted.
I found it funnier than I thought I would tbh. I did feel some of the humour was slightly forced (The scene where he farted in the restaraunt at the business men) but overall brilliant.
I also loved how unlike most comedy villains Giovanni Ribsis character was pretty menacing.

Uninhabited (2010)

Stunning location and impressive cinematography. Shame about the thin story, annoying central characters, iffy acting and ultimately lame 'menace'.

Expendables II

Wasn't overly impressed with the first one but this was excellent. The one liners are ace and the action scenes are fabulously OTT. Oh, Chuck Norris too

8/10

Killer Joe

Too meandering for my taste. The ending (or lack of it) was hugely disappointing. Oh, and I'll never look at a KFC the same way again

12 Monkeys, for the umpteenth time.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 it was not as good as the first but I think deserves a 5.5 out of 10.

Zero Dark Thirty. 2/10. Boring and too long.

Saw Django Unchained too. That was equally long, but good. 8/10.

Fugitive on blu-ray.

old film, and didn't look as crisp as I had hoped on blu. I had to check it WAS a blu.

subtitles, and listened to directors commentary, which was very interesting.

Red Tails - 6/10, poor script but really enjoyed the aerial CGI, and was won over by the end.

One of the standout sequences for me was him dancing to Tiffany 'I think we're alone now' while his son played Hide n Seek with Ted, great character. Surprisingly funny film.
