What a thoroughly nasty, greedy and rotten creature she is. This article does her no favours at all.

Yes Kerry, we know where you turn when you're skint & it has two letters.... Although is there any aspect of your sorry life you haven't sold?

She's obviously going to defend her appearance in the advert. I honestly don't know how anyone can star in one of them adverts. They're rotten!

I'm guessing it's the same people who will be flocking into these loan shark shops for some money... to spend on the very mags that seem to 'idolise' Kerry Katona and everything she does. Which in turn funds Katona's sordid life and the whole process starts again. Sad really, very sad

What happened in society to make a bankrupt chav some kind of aspiring role model??
It's as though the loan company, when thinking of what celebrity to get to front their campaign, thought about what target demographic they wanted to reach who would be the easiest to rip off, then asked themselves "Which celebrity has got the most loyal gullible fans who will worship and idolize them and everything they do without question?"

Saw those large orange breasts and that cheap tacky backdrop and for a second thought you'd accidentally linked to some ropey looking blonde on a babestation stream.

There aren't enough of these to express this woman's inherent stupidity

Oh absolutely re the brand match. Cynical and sick. No one with any integrity would front these types of 'loan' companies so they went for someone they knew with an equal absence of integrity who'd grab it with both greedy hands.

I'd actually have more respect if she came out and said 'I don't give a monkeys chuff what anyone says. I'm a moronic f**kwit who has no scruples and will do anything for a few quid'. It would be nearer the truth

Indeed and that's the point. That's why it's perfect branding.

Must just be me then.
These firms are totally up-front about their rates-if you don't want to pay them then don't use them.
Even at their high rates they're still cheaper than most unauthorised bank overdrafts. If there wasn't a need for short term loans then they wouldn't be in existence -banks won't give loans any more so what do people do if they're short til next pay day? At the end of the day people have to take responsibility for what they do,there's far too much hand-holding and nanny-state these days.

They'd also have to consider who'd be desperate enough to do it.

Didn't Carol Vorderman used to do debt consolidation ads?

I hate those companies too. They also should be banned.

Or Davina McCall having friendly chats with her off-screen mother about hair-dye when her real mother abandoned her and they had a "difficult" relationship.

Davina McCall has to be one of the most insincere, two-faced people on television... she's horrid to watch and so fake

The slogan of "fast money for fast living" or words to that effect is appalling. The irony of the formerly bankrupt Katona as the face of the company is too much. Nothing about it says spend and borrow responsibly. The saddest part is there are some genuinely hard up people out there who see this sort of company as the solution to their problems, neglecting to read the small print.
It's unbelievable, isn't it?

How these adverts are allowed on TV is beyond my understanding. Likewise with all those horrid bingo adverts.

And how people like Katona continue to be acknowledged by the media in any form is the most bewildering part of all.

1. 100% agree with the above BIB.

2. Unfortunately, that company's target customer - as demonstrated by the very cynical choice of Katona as their spokesperson - is those who are unlikely to approach lending rationally and sensibly. All they'll see is the 'fast cash' immediacy and not think about the consequnces of being unable to pay it back within the time limit or the subsequent penalties.

Surely if the cash loan is only upto a maximum of 300, why can't they do this on a credit card instead? Am I to believe that these people who are borrowing are doing so because they have crap credit ratings otherwise why not just use a credit card? It makes no sense to me

Because these loans are aimed at people who can not get other forms of credit. People with very good credit ratings are being turned down at the moment so those with a more checkered history have no chance of going down any route apart from these legalized loan sharks
