I felt sorry for Flossie juggling school and farming

What's to feel sorry for, by the looks of her school she was very privileged.
The farming was an option and IMO she didn't even know what she was doing

First time Farmers?
Don't make me laugh.
I know three locally, and their vicious "game keepers" (who actually breed foxes to hunt...so much a pest they are they actually breed them!) very well...all ripping the system of for all it is worth and allowing illegal hunting (killing protected species too like rare birds of prey) and cashing in on the lucrative government subsidies.
The only problems farmers have these days is choosing their next top of the range Range Rover.
