Virginmedia Anywhere question

I have just registered my laptop for Virginmedia Anywhere as it's free and will be very handy when on holiday etc.I am on on the M+ tv pack.I've just tried to watch Cartoon Network and Boomerang(for the kids)and it says I have to be on the L Pack to watch.I thought these two channels would work as they have just moved to the M+ Pack. All other M+ channels available work.Does anyone know if/when these channels will be available via Anywhere?

Thanks.

I understand that there is currently some disparity between channels available on the website and iDevices. I believe this is because they currently do not have the rights to stream some channels to anything other than the website. Further, I understand that they are re-negotiating these rights at the moment.

When in login in to the TV Anywhere website , it says the package required for Cartoon Network and Boomerang is M+ , try logging out then log back in.

How is that relevant to this thread ? Cartoon Network and Boomerang are available on both the website and iOS.

Did you read the question, or any of the replies?

If the channels are available on the iPad, bit the OP can't get them on the website, how does your answer of VM only having rights to stream them on the website have any bearing on the question?

Also, the channels are available on both iPad and website, although it was only for L customers, the channels have moved to thp M+ pack, the OP was asking if they had moved on the Anytime App as well, as they could not access them on their laptop.

Yes. You will only receive the channels in your pack, even on iDevices or the website. Would have thought that was obvious, myself.

Having problems reading again Carl, try starting from the top, read slowly and see what it actually says?

A) The channels are avaialble on the website, but only to L viewers, so your first answer is incorrect (that the channels in question are only available on iPad due to streaming restrictions).

Also, the channels USED to be on the L package, but they have now changed to the M+ package, so the OP does have the channels in their pack, but the websire was still refusing to stream them, and the OP was asking why.

Why do some forum members have to be so obtuse.

On the website they are showing being for M+ and above http://anywhere.virginmedia.com/chan...rtoon-network/

PACKAGE REQUIRED: M+
If there is an error message when trying to watch them that says it's for TV L then it's a fault than needs to be reported

But are they available on the iPad? Some are, some aren't. Those that are obviously have the rights in place. Those that aren't don't.

That question I can't answer. Which is why I didn't try.

Absolutely. I never said any different.

Yes, YOU did, the OP asked a specific question (why are certain channels that used to be on the L pack, but now on the M+ pack, not working on the Virginmedia Anywhere PC version), of which you answered it was a rights issue, as some channels can only stream on an iPad.

This was incorrect, the channels were available, so unsure why you answered the question.

Your answer would have been correct for a general enquiry (why do some channels not work), but in this case, your answer was incorrect, and fail to see how you can't admit to that.
