Have you ever bawled your eyes out over a cartoon/animated film?

Pixar movies sneak up on me though. Cars gets me almost every time with the song "Our Town" about how the mother road faded away - my reaction always surprises me, but it is a wonderful song.
I've never heard that song before (or seen Cars) so I just played the song and felt something inside It's a lovely song.

Grave of The Fireflies is an absolute killer - also agree with Dumbo, the bit where his mum's locked up and she sticks her trunk out of the bars and picks him up.

The Land Before Time - Littlefoot's mother dying.
Toy Story 3 - I spent most of this bawling tbh.
Up - First ten minutes or so and then every time it referenced his wife.
Animals of Farthing Wood- It was in the second series when Bold died. I was genuinely gutted.

There's loads more, but never having seen "Up" I'm going to search it out.
*sniff* *sob* *howl*

How come I missed this Oscar nominated animation back in 09? I've watched every Oscar ceremony live since they began screening them on Sky in the 80's. Yet it still didn't register that this was worth watching.

Thank you, thank you to the posters who mentioned Up. I absolutely loved it, and bawled my eyes out too.

What a little gem.

Reading the last few posts the next one on my list must be "Grave of The Fireflies"
