Oh dear! Kimberely has come in for quite a bit of flak for her performance at the NTA.

I like Kimberely as a person but I really think it was a bad idea for her to attempt this song but I suppose on the bright side the original by Randy Crawford is being brought to people's attention

I'd never heard of Kimberley before last year's SCD and I was prepared to be open minded about her new album, but after listening to track samples on i-Tunes and the disastrous NTA performance I have to give this one a firm thumbs down.

I will be buying Kimberley's new album Centre Stage. I love the songs from musicals she has chosen. Maybe not so much ODIFA. Its a shame people are judging one very nervous performance on the NTA to her singing ability.
You don't sing in the theatre every night in a sell out West End Show unless you can sing live. She was amazing in Shrek!

If she's given a spot on a prime time tv award show then people have every right to judge her performance! She would have known in advance that she was booked to do this and should have found the time to rehearse! She's been a performer for years so if she can't handle her nerves then she really shouldn't have been performing a difficult song live! She and her management should know from her friend Cheyl's experiences that if you can't cut it live then you will be mercilessly lampooned for it!

I haven't ever seen Shrek but I gather it's a lightweight musical - I have heard some of the excerpts from her album and I'm sorry to say unimpressed with her versions of these songs, I really think she is trying to overreach herself in tackling musical theatre songs. Kimberely looks the part of a glamorous stage actress but unfortunately she doesn't have the vocal and acting skills to do the songs any justice. If this album does well it won't be a triumph of talent - it'll be a triumph of style over substance!

On Loose Women today she alluded to 'technical issues (specifically 'no sound') during that performance. Hmmm...

Yes it's strange how these 'technical issues' never arose when Ella sung ......... it just sounds like a face saving excuse from Kimberely!

It was obvious there were tech issues, it almost sounded accapella in the beginning of Kim's performance.
She also said she was nervous so don't think she is blaming technical issues alone.....

Anyway what's done is done, she sounded fantastic at her GAY gig over the weekend.

Well the only 'issues' I could hear were with her voice! Oh and 'nerves' another old excuse. The same excuses are reeled out for Cheryl when she gives dreadful live performances!

I'm sorry but Kimberely is just not a very good singer imo - not much better than Cheryl - as part of a pop group they're both ok but when they do solo stuff their weak voices are exposed.

But Kimberely is a nice person and that pointless VT in which she plugged her album aside, I did enjoy her dancing on Strictly

Ok in the interests of giving another chance and trying to be fair I had a listen to a few of the live songs she did at the GAY gig you mentioned. Either you're pulling my leg or clearly what you find 'fantastic' is poles apart from what I do! I listened to her version of 'Defying Gravity'

She's screetching at the end for goodness sake! This is a much superior version of the song by Idina Menzel - the difference between her and Kimberely's version is like night and day!

I listened to another of Kim's live songs and her voice was so awful I had to switch it off! I just don't understand how anyone can lavish such praise on a voice which is at best mediocre when singing within her limited range and at worst dreadful when she's attempting to sing beyond her range! She looks stunning at the gig but unfortunately she doesn't have the voice to match!
