I am part of a medium sized event. This year we want people to have the opportunity to upload their images of the event to a single website, my questions are:

1) Is there a website that allows multiple people to upload images to? (Flickr, Piccassa)
2) Better still the above with a android/apple app that allows people to upload images from their photo directly to a website?
3) Anything that is free?

As well as any other suggestions you get, you should also do #hashtag photos on twitter. But you might already have that in mind.

Would that allow anybody to upload photos to the events Twitter account?

Is there a storage limit on the number of photos or are the photos linked to someone elses account but somehow linked to our event account?

No, but anyone searching for "#yourevent" would see not only any Tweets with that hashtag attached but also all photos.

I think what you're after is like a Facebook Event/group page, open for anyone to join and once in they can upload pics to that specific page...

Through twitter they can upload it using their mobile phone the way they are used to, it doesn't come out of your events twitter account, you dont even need a twitter account. You just need to make up a # that people can use to tag things with such as #markjuk. Click on this to see the twitter #bbc https://twitter.com/search?q=%23bbc as an example.

If you type markjuk in the search box at the top, you'll see theres nothing coming up yet being its not been used. Its not tied to your account, but it allows you to advertise a viral hashtag like they do on TV all the time now a days. So you can just say #marksevent to send us your pics.
