The point is that Information TV distribute RT, so could take it off and replace it with their own channel. Al Jazeera have different arrangements for carriage. I seriously doubt that Information TV would be able to outbid Al Jazeera, considering the resources available to the latter.

I find it a disgrace that people would want to shut down opinion and debate just because they don't agree with the opinions aired. If you don't want any challenge to your mainstream sensibilities the just stick to the unbised (Yeah right!) Sky and BBC, they won't offend you.

I honestly don't care whether it is there or not, it certainly doesn't offend me. That's not to say it isn't the same old dish of Russian propaganda, served up on a new plate.

Vladimir Pozner spent many years working on Radio Moscow. A few years ago he spoke about his time there, saying "as someone who's gone through this and someone who regrets having done what he's done, and who spent many, many years of his life, and I think probably the best years of my life, doing something that was wrong, I say it just isn't worth it". So there you have it, the opinion of someone employed to present such opinions and debate in days gone by.

It will b good for freeview to get this, it makes a change from the run of the mill stuff on the other chs. U dont have to agree with the content to see this point, surely.

As another post Said uk media is also bias. Its Just that Most people have no experience of other news sources so dont know any different. Accepting other points of view is often difficult for people with such a restricted view of the world. And this controled situation has been set up from the start so they can choose the news they want to show u.

So will this b a full time Channel or part time?
Full time on satellite.

And i guess this wont b in the core freeview service so freeview lite areas loose out once again.
