SSD Drive & Windows 8
When I took out my new phone agreement I received a copy of Windows 8 Pro Upgrade free of charge and I am thinking about putting an SSD drive in my three year old desktop PC.
I have a couple of questions before I take the plunge and hope there is some out there who can help: 1) What is the smallest size SSD that I can get away with, all I would install on it would be Windows and MS Office 2010, every thing else would installed on the 500Gb drive already in the PC? 2) As the free Windows 8 version is the Upgrade, will I have to install my original Windows 7 first and then upgrade or is there as in previous upgrades a way for the software to check my original installation disk as proof of an original licensed copy? Any help would be much appreciated |

64GB should work as this is the smallest SSD that comes with the Surface Pro.
I have the upgrade and clean instelled it with no problems. |
