Annoying Sound Drop Outs
Anyone notice the annoying occasional sound drop out on some tivo HD channels...
Especially on Discovery HD when the drop outs lasted for about 15 to 30 seconds each time! Come On Virgin - SORT IT OUT ! |

No problem at all
What did Virgin say when you asked them as it sound like a problem with your signal only? |

Sound Drop outs
Haven't bothered contacting them yet as I thought it may be something to do with the fact that virgin are re-encoding the origional satellite broadcast in MPEG-4 to MPEG-2 for broadcast on their network as I haven't seen the usual blocky MPEG artifacts you usually get with a signal problem, just the drop-out, and also mainly only on one HD channel

Never considered it's the originating signal, or perhaps your TV? Why blame Virgin without finding out?
