I should read LOTR again, I've been trying to start reading His Dark Materials, I've had the books for ages but still had other books to read first.

Reading the comments about the song last night got my interest piqued, someone posted that McCartney wrote, which I thought true.

But he recorded the version - it's on Youtube, and gave it to Badfinger and said don't change a thing, "just as I played it" and they had a top 5 hit.

I don't know if it's apocryphal, but I think he meant it for the B eatles and they split in April of 70 and the rest is history, apparently he started playing it a couple of years ago and it's in his 'set list' now.

I might've made all that up...

"I feel home here," said Boo.

Oink! had stopped running around and was standing looking at the water...Toot sensed it...

Oink! suddenly ran and jumped into the water, splashing Boo and sending Dabblehop flying.

Boo shook himself to get the water off his face and out of his eyes.

"Oink!"

Oink! was paddling around quite the thing he was quite the amazing swimmer, incredibly he moved as fast in water as he did on the grass and also he seemed to be swimming in circles as he whirled on dry land - all at top speed.

Boo said to Ginny watching, "how he isn't dizzy is beyond me."

"He'll fall down when he is tired, mind you I've never seen him tired," she laughed.

"He's got a lot of energy for a little pig," said Boo.

Toot was sat on the bank yawning, he had seen it all before...

It was still very bright, with the full moon, and the water still and calm.

With the full moon, Ginny was looking up to the bright sky to see that nothing...(...to be continued)

Alas, Will, you arrived too late. I went to bed and read for a bit and for some reason dreamed I was laying a lilac carpet in my mother's lavatory .

Can you speak Elvish Will? I sometimes start to try and teach myself a bit of it from the notes in the back of the books but give up because I won't have anyone to speak it with.

I haven't read JRR's other works apart from the Hobbit. I started to read the Silmarillion many long years ago but could't really engage. I must try again now.
