Docks for iPhone 5 and iPad Mini
After many months have passed since both were released, there is no sign on the horizon that Apple intends to release docks for either of these. I think this is a shame because I hate leaving my iPhone and iPad Mini lying face done on the desk due to scratching etc.
Does anyone have any idea why none have been released yet, or if there are plans to do so? |

Its a good question, but it is much easier to have them sitting upright then you can see the time whilst in bed, or on your desk, or you can see when emails and messages arrive etc. Also it is easier for calling someone on handsfree or watching a movie.

So why do you leave them face down?
![]() If there are no docks, then surely face up is better than face down, for reasons you've already mentioned... Scratching, seeing the screen for the time and notifications... |

My reference to face down was a typo, sorry, I meant lying down rather than lying face down. That probably explains the confusion! I want the dock so the phone or iPad can sit upright and so you can see the screen from wherever you are. If the device is lying on the desk or bedside table it's harder to see the screen. I am guessing no one yet has any idea re the substance of my question which was are the docks likely to come out, or have Apple moved away from producing them. |
