2000 was an amazing year on PPV for WWE, probably their best year ever.

That Rock v HHH match at Backlash should have been the Wrestlemania main event instead of the fatal 4 way match, which seemed too focused on the McMahon family for me.

On paper probably but in terms of television it was better for that to headline Backlash back then the fans were extremely pro face and hated the heels and Rock and HHH were head and shoulders the top guys in their section! Especially the way HHH retained the title at Mania it pissed a lot of people off!

You seen when Austin's music hit to clear house up until the moment when The Rock hit the peoples elbow the crowd we're just jumping and going crazy like mad waiting to finally see the moment they waited weeks to see! I dont think i'll ever see a reaction to that when Rock finally became "WWF" champion on that night it was just magical!

2000 PPV's were by miles the best they've ever produced i cant think of a bad main event in that year!

Fully Loaded 2000 was great, but Summerslam 2000 was the best event that year in my book, and one of the best events ever.

- Triple H vs. Angle vs. Rock (With Stephanie McMahon 'love triangle' story in the background with Angle)
- Kane vs. Undertaker No DQ (Kane gets his mask ripped off!)
- Shane O'Mac vs. Steve Blackman Hardcore Match (with epic Shane bump)
- First ever TLC match (better than X-7 which basically just copied all the spots from this one)
- Chris Jericho vs. Chris Benoit 2 out of 3 falls

Great undercard as well, especially the opener with Too Cool vs. Right To Censor. Oh, and the Thong Stinky-Face Match between Kat and Terri, if that floats your boat

Guys, i use to be a massive fan of wrestling as a kid/teen, and in that time i built up a pretty huge collection of WWE, well WWF videos, like 100 of them. I was just wondering if their's a market for them? Are they worth anything?

From a business perspective they pulled a masterstroke leaving the Rock/Triple H until Backlash 2000. The PPV is still in the top 15 most purchased WWE PPVs in the US.

Best end to a PPV ever in my opinion. The pop when Austin's music hits and when Rock wins with the People's elbow sends shivers down my spine.

Wonder if Cena-Rock II will equal or better that 1.3m record buys from last year?

(plus whoever watched via other means....ahem)

I'm not sure what other options there are, but you could wait it out a few more years and they might be worth something more. Ebay is the other option, either bulk them all together for a vintage type of purchase, or sell them individually.

Looks like the Shield paid a brief visit to Craven Cottage this evening.

Some of the rare ones which have never been re-released on tagged classics might be worth something. Check the completed listings on ebay to see how much any other copies recently sold have gone for.

Does anyone know which PPV's will be shown on Sky Sports this year apart from Elimination Chamber?

For me its an odd move since RAW does beat TNA quite a lot and aggregated views of all programming have WWE way way out in front and they still dominate the live market.

Still, twisted recognition for TNA
Where did you get that information from?

A good posibility. The Rock and Lesnar - the biggest box office draws they have thesedays - are on the same show. Plus with it being in the NY/NJ area they'll be heavily promoting there.

With who - Sky or WWE?

I certainly can't see it happening as a Sky initiative, but I could see it being something WWE would push for.
