If it's a case of ironing out the bugs Etc, then pushing it back to September seems a bit excessive. Why not June or July? I'm guessing it's something more than that, maybe something to do with the multiplayer that needs a bit more work than they thought.

I know this might sound a bit weird but I wish I could go back so I didn't know the release date now. When I didn't know I was excited to know more and the weeks were just getting chalked off one by one and we were getting closer to the spring window. Now, I'm not fussed if we get more information next week as September just seems so far away.....

Thinking about it I would rather wait a few months for the issues to be fully ironed out. The thing I've hated most this generation is half finished games being released and then patched up with DLC.

Rockstar have never released a game in July.

The last time they released a game in August was in 2002.

If they release a game in June (not often) it's in the first or (at a stretch) second week of the month.

This is because midsummer is the worst time of the year for game sales. They are not going to push out an AAA title in midsummer. Hence the delay to September.

Vice City question if you don't mind. I played the mission Cop Land last night, got to the stairs of the mansion at the end, and i was about to finish, but the car rolled, and Lance didn't get out fast enough, he died, and i failed.

Now, i struggled with this mission on PS2, and i can't be arsed going through the all that rage again. If it's not the controls, it's Lance getting in your way.

What i'm asking is, will the wanted level cheat work, and i'll still be able to save, or will it be like PS2 and not let you proceed?

Although you have a good point, this is Grand Theft Auto we are talking about. If Rockstar were to release it during the summer months then I'm pretty sure the sales of the game wouldn't suffer that much if at all.

They could release this on any given day of the year and it will still break sales records and likely be the fastest selling game of all time.

I couldn't do this mission at all on PS2 and used the cheat and it worked for me and seeing as it's a direct emulation then I imagine it will

I'd say it's the hardest GTA mission ever. I managed it twice without cheats on PS2 back in the day, but now i'm 34, i have a family, and a lot less patience.

The hardest for me was The Driver in VC..never got round to beating that mission. Special mention in the difficulty stakes is the bloody flying lessons in SA

Hardest GTA mission ever for me was Zero's first mission in San Andreas where you have to shoot down the remote control planes from his rooftop. Back in my PS2 days, I never did manage to clear it, must've tried well over 100 times! But last year I downloaded the game from the Xbox Marketplace and when it came to that mission I was filled with a sense of dread, so imagine my jubilation and surprise when I did it, and only on the second attempt!

Sorry Dellboy, it's been more than 10 years since I played VC so memory might be fuzzy.

There was a bribery thing near the mall and that should get your wanted level down a bit before you go back to the mansion. Also, if you go by helicopter (you can find one on the roof of the police station) it's faster and you get very little resistance from the police.


That mission for Zero was the same for me. Couldn't do it for ages so left it. Came back and did it first time.

That would be mine too! What really frustrated me was that you could knock HIlary's car back and get really far ahead of him, yet as soon as you hit something, he'd shoot right past.

I haven't played the game in years, so I can't remember the correct outcome of this but I recall that you could somehow cheat by opening the disc tray. Either it stopped the timer or stopped the planes coming. That's what I did anyway!

I find controlling driving so difficult using the touchscreen compared with a ps controller and also the shitty van your driving has virtually no stability when going round corners. I did Cop Land on my first attempt last night. Took some advice from here, planted the bomb, lost one star outside the mall, and then i made it back to the mansion by the skin of my teeth. I had to swap cars on the bridge. I'm glad i managed it without using a cheat.

I ended up on a roll. Did all the biker and Love Fist missions too.

It's really a silly theory. GTA V has probably been in development for PS3-360 for years. They could surely port it over , but could take propper advantage of the higher amount of memory, faster memory, higher amount of cores and better GPU no they could not. The engine is not designed with all that mind. Basically for people so eager for a true next gen GTA game, there going to have wait for GTA V ****** made with a new engine.
