I think it's a GAME problem but they are hiding behind Royal Mail.

This. I popped into my localish GAME store and they said they got short ordered. I said it had been dispatched and they um'd and aww'd. I suspect it hasn't been dispatched but may be on the6th when they restock. Expect delivery on 8th. Eventually just bought online version. Installing now.

I was late to find out about this, only really deciding to grab this when it came out. But I can't seem to find any copies for a sensible price. The places I usually buy from online are out of stock, and I've been into town and neither shop has any. I wasnt sure what to expect at HMV, but they had the other Friday game releases in stock. Game had a large amount of cases but the 'coming soon' stickers all over them.
Also no copies in my local Asda, Sainsburys or Tesco.

Anyone know anywhere I might be able to grab this?

I can understand the supermarkets not having it as a game with a semi-japanese title and a rpg to boot screams "niche" when stuck next to Call of Duty 14 or FIFA 20xx.

Not quite sure why it's out of stock online though. Preordered mine a couple of weeks ago from the Hut and it turned up yesterday (would have been Thursday but they use a shocking courier firm - MyHermes).

I've ordered stuff from Game before and it's never quick. I seem to remember Skyward Sword being dispatched Tuesday before release date Friday, and it not turning up in the post until the following Tuesday.

Only a couple of hours into it so far, but it's excellent - sad, funny, charming and hinting at a deep system, though at this stage it's all very basic. Also great to see representation of the Welsh in it. Tidy!

I will be absolutely FURIOUS if I have to wait until the 8th and they will know about it!

I've just put the game in and have finished the first scene, all I can say is that so far this is the most beautiful game. I am literally in a Ghibli film and my heart feels all warm : )

After playing it for a couple of hours last night it's still really nice. It's very basic at the beginning but as it's fine as you feel like you're watching a Ghibli film. I've met Drippy now and he's awesome! Very funny. It's brilliant.

The dialogue is spoken / final fantasy style text. I usually get a bit bored of having to click next all the time to finish a conversation. Hasn't happened yet. Definitely elements of FF7 and Pokemon.

The accents are abit confusing though. Oliver has a stereotypical American accent, his friend has a Texas twinge, the shop keeper sounds like she's from New Orleans, the Mum sounds like Mary Poppins with an endearing English accent, Drippy is Welsh, the witch is evil English with reverb and a fairy girl is well spoken English.

Can't wait to get home and play more now I've completed the tutorial stage

Still no delivery from Game. I will ask for a refund if it doesn't show up and return it if it does. Downloaded it instead. It's really lovely!

How long did it take to download 22 gigs over PSN which is notoriously slow at the best of times?

The prices for this are bordering on ridiculous, any interest i had is starting to fade but no way am i paying 45 pre owned for a niche JRPG

the only reason this cost so much is because they didn't think there was a big market and now shops are seeing $ now that they know more people want it then there is copies to sell

This is looking like a cheap game or wait for it on PS Plus, shops and greed have ruin it now

Prices will go down once the demand slows. Dont let that effect you getting it in the future because it is a really well made game. If you like Ghibli games it's a cert.

I suppose it's hard to judge how much stock is needed. It wasn't well promoted before release as most Ghibli fans I've spoken to hadn't heard of it. I knew it was in development but I had no idea about its release until the news story on DS about the delay. So it's more of a scrap to go and find a copy.

Hopefully it could mean more Ghibli games in the future

Last night I defeated the first boss after spending time leveling up. Now I'm starting to gain access to all of the features and learn about all of the different tasks. I'm starting to see how it will become a big game with all of the collectibles.

Bit annoyed about my bonus Amazon familiars. I downloaded one but it hasn't appeared in my game and then I downloaded the other one and it said there was an error and wouldn't acccept the code when I reinputted it. Anyone know how I get my downlaoded familiar?

Played about 3 hours so far. Such a beautiful game.

The accent of Mr.Drippy is very strong! Even being Welsh myself like his voice actor, I find it hard to understand some of the words he says! lol

I'm loving this game so much, everything in it feels perfect

The characters (and voice actors), the dungeons, the Cities, the overworld/world map

Not really sure how far into it i am, i only have two trophies for progression so far

The most important thing though is that the plot is simple, with what the have tried to do with the story it could easily of become convoluted and confusing but everything is explained in such a way that you get it, it thankfully isn't another FFXIII where you need to check the datalog every two seconds

The gameplay as well is just incredible, it really does feel like i'm playing a classic final fantasy (think 4 through 9)

I literally can't stop singing this games praises and though i'm not that far into it, i can't help but hope for a sequel on PS4 so the graphical style will look even better

I've just got my ship so out to do more exploring. Some of the trophies seem like they'll be impossible to get! 2000 glims! But I've been obsessively battling and levelling up so this might come quicker than expected.

Every cut scene is beautiful and the story is like being in a Ghibli film.

My own slight irritation is travelling around. At times in errands I feel myself going back and forth but according to someone's whose completed it, travelling becomes easier.

Really enjoying this and taking my time with getting it, its a near perfect JRPG in my opinion (and show why JRPGs will always be better than fallout/skyrim type games)

The one problem i have will it though is catching Familiars, unless i've missed something, it is completely random whether you catch them or not meaning you could literally spend hours in one area trying to capture one

I'd much rather (and perhaps there is towards the end) that there was an item/magic that when used almost guaranteed a capture

I managed to spend a good 50 hours on this game and i enjoyed it. It was very beautiful and charming which is a rarity.

Only gripe was the battle system had issues but it was still enjoyable enough.

And i think you could obtain a stamp ability that increased the capture rate.
