ESNTV /New London tv channel on Freeview tv
It says in the press that there is a new tv channel on Freeview in 2014 in England on Epg N.O 8 which means it will not be shown it other parts of the U.K.It comes fron ESNtv or something like that not to be confused with ESPN TV which is obviously a different tv channel .The question here about this channel will it be a news or a financial news channel or a regional news channel or a magazine type channel ?
If it is a financial news channel then it would make sense given London's status as a financial centre in the world. With that being the case will Sky tv ,ITV and BBC offer a alternative tv rival channel to this if it becomes a commercial success in 2014 ? Will ESNTV also have if it is going to be a financial news channel have a big enough budget to go and lure some better known tv anchors from BBC ,Sky ,ITV or even BTV or CNBC to front this new channel's output which is still quite a risky commercial venture . |

ESTV = Evening Standard TV, basically the legal name - i.e. a spin off of the Evening Standard newspaper. London Live - the proposed on-air name of the channel.
The PDF above has indicative schedule which is pretty much news, current affairs, and entertainment aimed at / filmed in London with a couple of nights showing the bigger films filmed in London. |

. I wouldn't be surprised if this channel were watched by viewers outside London on satellite as well.

The 21:00 films and original drama might offer some appeal, but much of the rest doesn't look like it will.
