I am hoping that Erik will be a mature player and have a good story arc. I felt so sorry for him before - I don't think he has the strategic capabilities of winning, but he will be a good competitor and I hope he goes far. Hope Frannie gets the upper hand of Philip. I think people felt she had so much more to offer - it's good to see a first person eliminated have a second chance. Although I like Brenda, I presume she will be an early target as she is a triple threat. I like her so hope she hooks up with Francesca and does well. I think Cochran will be safe for a while. Glad Shambo isn't returning - too mentally unstable for this. Would be cruel. |

Also Jane and Troyzan were both part of this series' cast but were replaced at the last minute by Dawn and Malcolm respectively. |

To be honest a line-up including Shambo, Matt, Jane and Troyzan sounds more interesting than their replacements, and I don't even like any of them.
I like Malcolm but I get the feeling I'm not going to like him as much this season, especially without his dynamic with Denise. I'm hoping there's a hidden star (difficult to tell yet) in the fans, or I'm hoping some of the favourites are different from their original run. *shudder* Can't believe it's on in just 2 days.

lol Francesca
She made the same mistakes again. I know it's easier said than done but she should have merged into the background and not draw attention to herself. Instead she came across as a player desperate to prove herself, and desperate players only makes people nervous. Though wasn't it kind of strange that Malcolm got the blandest edit out of the Faves. I would have thought the editors would want to keep up his momentum from Philippines. Unless they think he's still fresh in people's minds so don't need to give him attention yet. I've decided to treat all the players like they're newbies so that I have a fresh opinion of them. So far my faves are Cochran, Corinne, Erik, Andrea, Laura, Shamar and Matt. There were a few moments that made me laugh - Cochran's sunburn and swollen feet, Phillip's squeaky shoes at TC and him trying to claim that 'Fransesqua' was intentional. |

Corinne as a FAVE?
![]() Poor Fran - she still needs to show us how to eat that rock though. And indeed she made the same mistake again. Should have just flown under the radar. Brenda and Malcolm were invisible this week. Brenda's edit was probably the worst atm. Couldn't see her get to jury stage Someone needs to gif that facial expression from Brandom at tribal  For the fans, somehow the highschool alliance doesn't look that tight to me. I can see some change-ups in a couple of weeks. But heaps of eye candies this season - Eddie, Reynold, and all the good looking blonde girls

So Fran is the surely the worst player ever now, right? She made exactly the same mistakes as last time, playing too hard too fast and getting super paranoid. She seems like a nice person, but she didn't deserve to be there in the first place, so kind of glad she went first.
Really liking Erik and Brenda from the faves. I like that Erik has his own mind this time around and didn't just easily go along with everyone else. And Brenda had the funniest lines, the one about Cochran's pregnant lady feet and telling Philip just to turn around a look at the ocean if he wants to wake up and see it that bad. Not much to say about the Fans so far, other than the high school clique have made the amateur mistake of thinking 4 people is enough for an alliance...on a tribe of 10! |

Cant say I was blown away by this intro, but I do agree with others that Francesca is her own worst enemy. Shut the hell up, woman, tone down the paranoia and try and fly under the radar. Then you might not have to eat that rock.
The thought of watching Agent Pink Knickers for long is a real turn off, Why, oh why? It's vile, as vile as watching Marine Shemar stretching his leg above his head wearing his Y fronts. Sexy it isn't. Reynold and Eddie are another two who piss me right off. No you are not god's gift to women, so stop singing your own praises. Give me Malcolm any day. Very easy on the eye, great at challenges ( even if MCP Reynold pipped him to the sandbags) and quietly confident. Not a very inspiring bunch, although of the "Favourites" ( now there's a misnomer, half of them should be called The Misfits!) I'm pleased to see Brenda, Andrea, Dawn and of course,Malcolm, back. I dont think Eric or Cochran have learned a thing, they still have absolutely no idea how to play the game. minihantz and Phillip seem to have toned down the crazy, but it's early days yet.The fans seem to be a more interesting bunch and I look forward to the High School groupies getting an early boot. Shemar, Matthew, Michael and Laura seem to have something about them, though that could come back to haunt me with the first two. Shemar will either be Phillip batshit, or a cany player. I like the way he clashed first off, way to play the social game! but starting fire somewhat redeemed him. And when you have the kids who cant realise that 4 does not a majority make, then maybe those lot will stick around. |

Though I hope Jeff Probst read the part about it being substantially down on One World. Which means that more of the demographic tuned in for a season featuring NO returning players. So they clearly are not the be all and end all to a great season. But let's not dwell on that. I'm going to enjoy this season at face value and not with all the baggage.

I guess Survivor will be getting his full attention now then.
I never watched his talkshow so can't really comment, though his 'fawning over his faves and ignore the others' style at the Survivor reunions is a bit grating. But recently he seems to be making an effort to talk to every contestant, if only for a few words. |

Francesca going first again was hilarious.
Looking forward to the next episode, unfortunately got spoiled a good few months ago regarding its outcome. But still should be good watching. |

But I don't know most of the placings up until the Final 3, so I should still be able to enjoy most of it. |
