BBC 1 Wales HD

BBC 1 Wales HD has replaced BBC One HD on the Welsh HD Mux from Moel-y-Parc. The Service Name changed in the SDT at approx 11:30, and the video feed was switched at approx 12:15 during a program junction. First program is Bargain Hunt - in upscaled SD.

It's not just under the bonnet, a lot has changed on screen, e.g. news stories now take up the whole page (so you lose the reduced-size TV picture) and are on a single page instead of two, share prices show 12-month highs and lows, probably lots more, I'm surprised there isn't a new thread about it.

The fullsize page is already annoying me. Prefer the quarter size tv screen.

Synapse looks to be an IPTV streaming solution, similar to Connect-TV

Since it is on 790 I assume they're testing the technology and any service provision is several months away

Confirmed. Sky Text and the red button switches have returned. Must have been an Arqiva error.

Other than the channels number changes, the new Kisstory channel has taken the joint stereo stream, previously used by Q. Heat and Kerrang are still mono streams. Channel 791 is a message informing viewers that Q has closed and that a retune is necessary.
