She's diabetic and I believe suffers with kidney problems which more than likely accounts for her appearance.

I've always been under the impression that she's always been desperate to be thin, even though you can see she's a naturally curvier girl, and actually looks a lot better, prettier and healthier that way!

But yeah, mental problems of some sort I guess. Wasn't she bulimic?
