Nearly everyone I know loves It Crowd but hates Jen. I seem to be the only one who likes her, I think she is quite a good character and is brilliantly played by Katherine Parkinson. Are there any other Jen fans out there.

I've always liked her, as the poster above said she makes the perfect comic foil. The format wouldn't work without her, and Katherine Parkinson is a great comic actress, particularly when conveying frustration at the ridiculous situations she finds herself in. Oh, and gorgeous to boot (which shouldn't matter either way, but hey ho).

You know some strange people then, Jen is the lynch-pin of the comedic set up, like Penny in The Big Bang Theory she is the counterpoint to the geek's thinking that in their world they are normal.

Totally agree with that.

The only thing I would say agaist the actress is that she doesn't have much range. She seems to play the same character in every role (although Jen is an OTT version).

I think she's brilliant. Really bounces off the other two, with her eccentric behaviour. Also think she's a very sexy lady. Great legs. Nice figure. She floats my boat.

She is very sexy, great bum too. But I do think she's a good actress, just been watching her in the Old Guys, a very underrated sitcom in my opinion.

I can't say whether she's got range or not but:

Bugger me, she looks tidy in a pencil skirt, it must be said

I kinda went off her and Olivia Colman for a while, when I heard them interviewed and found they were both less enthusiastic/invested in their own comedy work than I was.
Seemed completely uninterested if another series was been made, it was just 'work'

I liked Jen in "The IT Crowd", very funny actress.
The three of them worked so well together...I am laughing now thinking about her speech when she brings "The Internet" with her.

Most of them say they don't like the character, but then some of them say she might be better played by another actress. So it's mainly the character they dislike but also Katherine Parkinsons way of playing her I supose.

She's the worst of a great bunch for me. I do think she's brilliant, but not as good as Roy, and certainly not as good as Moss.

The 3 of them as an ensemble are fantastic I reckon.

Douglas is a brilliant supporting character aswell, his sexual innuendo towards Jen is hilarious.

I think she complements the other characters perfectly. As other posters have commented, she is a brilliant "reaction actor"; just look at her facial expressions when faced with Moss, Roy and Douglas's bizarre behaviour.

The Friendface episode was one of her high points....and the fake Italian....and the job interview....and the day she spent as Douglas's PA....and the dinner party....The list is endless! I love her.

They still want to do one last special episode but they haven't managed to fit it into everyones schedules. Latest thing delaying it is Katherine Parkinson who plays Jen being Pregnant.
