Total Recall - Radically different from the Arnie original but perfectly watchable fayre when viewed as a stand alone movie. 7.5/10

Watched both Category 6 and 7 the past week from Syfy.
They were all right.
I gave them a 5 out of 10.
Found 6 was just a little better.

12 Dates of Christmas. (TV Movie 2011).

I decided to count down the days until Christmas (might as well get started early) and I was in the mood for a Christmas movie.

Trying to find something to watch I discovered this movie which stars Amy Smart and the guy who used to play Zack in Saved By The Bell.

I have never seen him in anything else, but its Zack from Save By The Bell! If I needed another reason to watch, I loved Amy in Just Friends (highly recommended).

This is typical holiday season fare. Extremely predictable saccharin stuff, with a Groundhog Day esk plot.

Nevertheless it was pleasant enough.

5/10.

Scarface - Al Pacino chewing the scenery as a Cuban "political refugee" who becomes a drug lord Violent, garish, suprisingly funny ( and I don't just mean Al's Chico Marx accent).
8/10

Sharknight 3D 2/10 (1 point added for the fact that Sara Paxton wears a bikini for pretty much the whole film).

Amazing Spiderman 6/10
OK, but a pointless reboot. We all know how Peter Parker becomes Spiderman, so we don't need to spend half of this film seeing it yet again. Would rather have just skipped the reboot bit and just have had a Spiderman vs The Lizard story, could even have used the extra hour to put some other characters in. And no Daily Planet / Jameson wtf?

Blimey, I don't think I've ever met anyone who didn't like it.

It might not be everyone's cup of tea but 2/10? What did you find about it that was so bad?

Centurion.

Being a fan of Neil Marshall's Dog Soldiers and The Descent, I've had this for ages but haven't gotten around to watching it due to some bad reviews.

Fassbender was still in my mind due to seeing Shame and Olga Kurylenko was on this week's Jonathon Ross show.

What can I say, the cgi blood is as bad as reviews I've read. Fassbender doesn't get his tackle out and Olga doesn't speak since her part is a mute.

4/10.

Krabat and the Legend of the Satanic Mill 6/10

I wish I'd read the book first. It was worth watching (even with subtitles), but...it was lacking.

Zero Dark Thirty.

Unduly hyped. I felt the documentary feel worked against it.

5/10.

Escape from L. A. [1996]. Director: John Carpenter

6/10

The return of Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken, set in 2013 where an earthquake has left Los Angeles as an Island. The plot is not noticeably different from the first film.
