People having been discussing a Saturday Night Takeaway-type show for the BBC. There is one but it's of a much lighter tone, it is kind of aimed at a younger audience but adults are frequently involved. It usually airs on CBBC, Fridays at 6pm for an hour. There are usually segments involving the audience, celebrities, the two going out on location in disguise and of course guests.

Why not? Do you think nowadays adults who watch any kids progs are dodgy?!?!?

Adults used to catch blue peter and newsround in ye old days, in my childhood adults would watch alongside me as i had my tea, and now i'm old i know of people who still watch some kids telly. Just cos it's now all been ditched off mainstream BBC onto its own channel doesn't mean people can't catch some bits of progs.

I think I've seen this one or twice but I have definitely caught their other show, Copycats which is good.

Hassaan, do you think trialling "Big Saturday Wind-Up" on Saturday (obviously!) teatimes would be a good idea, or is this very much a CBBC show and would run the risk of being another "Don't Scare The Hare"?

I think it is very much a CBBC show, unless they can adapt it into a more family audience. At the moment it partly is, but leans towards a young audience. Sadly the ratings in its current slot aren't great, getting less than 200,000 viewers over an hour - they could be much better if the BBC make much of an effort to promote it. They could make it for a family audience and leave it on CBBC as it needs the ratings more than BBC One - but of course it'd need to become more of a talking point to be successful.

Only time will tell but it'd be interesting to see what others think.

Have to admit that the whole idea of Sam going 'red... is BAAD!' and the creepy stare at the camera cracks me up!

And the whole shocking of the underpants, obviously it isn't real but it wouldn't hurt if they 'shocked' them in the legs - Ant & Dec had something in their legs on Saturday Night Takeaway (the golf challenge) which generated some sort of shock which was quite funny.
